    Leica Soft release for LTM

If you are using a soft release, you must be careful with it. If the SR is mounted on your shutter release button, protect it from impact. I talked with Sherry Krauter about soft releases; she said that she had to repair a couple of film M cameras that had been dropped on their soft releases...

Leica What is your camera bag(s) for your Leica?

I do not own one of the bags designed by Adam Marelli, but here they are. They may not be for everyone, but they are an interesting alternative to the offerings from Billingham, Domke, Think Tank, etc. Adam Marelli x Slow Tools Bags Specs and Dimensions

Leica What is your camera bag(s) for your Leica?

I just picked up a Tenba Messenger camera bag (#638-342) on Amazon. It is a perfect fit for one M camera w/lens attached and four other lenses plus a few accessories. This bag is really an outstanding design and the quality of materials and workmanship are excellent. This bag has been...

    Leica m240 vs m246

The M262 is an interesting alternative to the M240 and M-P. The main attraction to me is the absence of video capability, which IMHO the M240, M-P and 246 should never have been saddled with in the first place. The M262 is certainly worth considering - it will bring in new first time Leica M...

Leica Shooting India with a Monochrom

BEAUTIFUL images, Dave! Congratulations! I do not feel for a second that your images have suffered because they were shot in B&W; I'd have to say just the opposite, in fact. Being shot in B&W sets them apart from the hundred billion color images of India that we have all seen. I would love...

    Leica Black or Silver ?

I have owned a black film MP and a black M240 in the past. At present, I own a black chrome M4-P and a Safari set M-P. I have never not liked the appearance of any of these cameras. I have never owned a chrome and black M body, but would like to; I like the classic old school look of these...

Leica What is your camera bag(s) for your Leica?

If I had a spare $50,000 I would buy a couple of new lenses and use the remaining $40,000 (ish) to travel the world and make photographs. to each his/her own, though.

Leica Range finder on the street

I shoot with an M-P 240 and I have to say that I do not find myself longing for a tilt screen. The M240 and M-P 240 are cameras that have been designed to adhere to a design philosophy of minimalism which is as it should be IMHO. The more features that are added to a camera, the bigger and...

Leica Featured: 'My Cousin's Wedding, Leica Style' by kingsfan

Very nice images and scans - at first, I thought they were made with the Monochrom M. What film & developer did you use? Leica M cameras can't do weddings?!?! That's just crazy talk! :coco:

    Leica Rangefinder System. Rediscovering photography

My first rangefinder camera was the Hasselblad XPAN v.1. When the XPAN II was released, I upgraded to that camera, which I still have, in addition to my Leica M240 and M4-P. There is just something about rangefinder photography. SLR photography seems robotic (auto focus, auto everything)...

Leica What is your camera bag(s) for your Leica?

I have the tan Hadley Pro. I chose that color for hot weather use - when it's 85-95 degrees or hotter, I don't like having my camera and lens slow roasting in a dark color bag that absorbs heat.

Leica What is your camera bag(s) for your Leica?

It depends. If you have a Leica M body (or similar size camera) and three lenses, the regular size Hadley Pro is big enough. If you have a Nikon D800 with three zoom lenses, you will need the large Hadley Pro.

Leica You need a wide!!! Is the VC 15/4.5 the way to go??

It's hard to evaluate image quality on a screen. Still, the images posted in this thread offer us very little to complain about in terms of IQ. It's too bad that there is no CV dealer close by - I would like to try this lens on my M240 for a couple of hours...

    Leica My third lens?

A 28/2, 50/1.4 and a 90mm makes an outstanding three lens kit - it's what I have ended up with. I have the Summicron M 90/2 APO and do not have any trouble focusing it without a magnifier eye piece - and I wear glasses. The Summarit 90/2.4 would be good choice if the Summicron 90 is out...

    Leica Medium Format Film Rangefinder

I had a black Mamiya 7 II with the 43, 80 and 150 lenses. I ended up selling it to help pay for Leica M gear. Sometimes I regretted parting with the 7 II but not so much nowadays. It's a great camera for landscapes; the only real downside is that the lenses are slow. If you buy a used...

Leica You need a wide!!! Is the VC 15/4.5 the way to go??

The CV 15/4.5 is awfully slow for lighting other than outdoor daylight shooting, IMHO. Still, it will fit the bill for many photographers and is very affordable. As an alternative to the 15mm, take a look at the Super Elmar M 21mm f/3.4 ASPH. It is admittedly much more costly than the CV...

    Leica Leica M60 Special Edition

The M60 is beautiful, but I lean toward the utilitarian. For my purposes, I'd rather have the black M-P 240 and a black 35 Summilux ASPH. Oh, and the leftover $6400 USD, too.

    Leica Hi

Hi, everyone - New guy here, located in fly-over land (Indiana). Long time Leica M user, but new to this forum. I got my M240 back in April of this year and the honeymoon continues - I love this camera. :D All the best, Allan
