I was on the last leg of my 4 mile lunch walk and came across this scene. This is why I always have a camera on me.
When they got to the part where they were extracting the driver/passenger, I stopped taking pictures. Preserving the dignity of the people in the car and all that.
Since the COVID19 pandemic, my local sports shooting has come to a standstill.
I've been lucky and still can get out and take pictures, but nothing that "needed" the power of the D500...so I've been shooting with the Df, Fuji and Olympus more.
Well, today I decided to stop neglecting the D500...
we are planning on having “social distancing correct” Mother’s Day gathering today.
There will be 8 of us total, meeting at my sister in laws garage. 6 foot and masks will be adhered to.
Beyond that, let’s get to the photography question!!
If you were shooting film, which stock would you use...
Lets see those Eterna film simulation images. Share the custom recipes if you have them!

I’ve always wanted to experiment with the Olympus EP5. The one thing holding me back was the fact that I require a viewfinder for the cameras I use.
I always found in m43 that it was more cost effective to get an OMD or the PEN-F instead of the standard PEN line.
well, someone here on this...
While it may not be the best time to be able to get out for review purposes...I did the best I could.
Hope you all enjoy my review of the X100V.
Every now and again, I’ll just go off the deep end on a portrait and just let myself go crazy with the post processing.
this started out as an iPhone11 portrait mode shot and found its way through Snapseed, Hipstamatic Tintype.
just experimenting and having fun.
Covered some amateur mixed martial arts event at the Arnold Sports Festival 2020.
This was probably some of the worst lighting I've ever shot in. Just a few can lights strung across the top of the ceiling and the house lights basically non-existent.
I tried shooting at ISO3200, but I could not...
The wife and I are planning a trip to Toronto late August early September 2020.
I will be doing my usual research but I always love to get a locals or "been there done that" perspective on the cool things to do or the awesome stuff to see that is off the beaten path or less "touristy".
So the weather is still garbage and grey, but I went out anyway. Took the Polaroid SX-70 Sonar OneStep and the Fuji XPRO2. I figured if the Polaroid was a bust, I could take the time to test out my new Agfa APX 100 film simulation I’ve been working on.
I still have one exposure yet to run...
So, I love just going out and trying to find opportunity for image creation. I don't always succeed and at times I can get on some peoples nerves. By some people I mean my wife, whom I drug out with me today in 15F (-9 for the rest of the world) temperatures but we ended up at a coffee shop...
Some of you may have remembered a few years back I started a personal project for myself called Sceene In Windows. This project allowed me to explore life and events that were either seen through a window or capturing the events of life with a window in the scene. That project ran for about 9...
Three Columbus, OH parks and the Main Columbus Metropolitan Library have nearly 3 dozen balanced, suspended art pieces for your viewing pleasure until March 1, 2020.
These art pieces and installation were the work of Polish artist Jerzy Joptka Kedziora.

Hope everyone that celebrates Thanksgiving has had a great one!
I'm going into my 2nd annual social media/internet blackout-off the grid time.
I found it very beneficial for myself last year and have decided to make it an annual thing.
So, I will not be on any of the forums from Dec 1, 2019...
Stopped by the camera store today, have not been there for a while looking for anything in particular...but I wanted to see if they had a manual focus 200/4 or 135/2.8. They had both!
I was hoping that the 200/4 would be the AI version, but not today. Price seemed OK and I wanted to try it...
...and I just wanted to share some of my initial thoughts.
it was a lot lighter than I thought it would be.
the AF was better than I thought, but it was also a lot slower than I would like in a camera for say shooting street. However, in a studio or landscape setting, I can see it being just...
While I was in the camera store yesterday, the Sony reps were there and brought with them some of the new A7R Mark IV.
My impressions (camera body):
The camera body is still not for me. The grip of the camera just doesn't feel good in my hands..
The physical controls are decent. Some tweaks...
I'm not too into macro, but it is nice to have the option available when needed. Love this 55/3.5. It is not an AI lens, so limited on the cameras it can be used on.
Not a bad all arounder lens either if you can get past the very long focus throw.
My version of this lens is cosmetically in less than optimal shape, but the glass is fine. Another lens where the rendering and sharpness are just how I like it. I might some day get the AF version, but until then, this is a great manual focus alternative.
Works great on the Nikon Df and I've...
Limited in which cameras can use this lens because it does not have the AI notch cut out of the aperture ring, it does quite well, especially when stopped down a bit. Lovely on the Df and admirable on the Z6.
Got this thing dirt cheap at a local camera store. Performs excellently on the Nikon Df and the Z6 with the FTZ. I may throw it onto some Fuji X cameras on day, but here are a few to get this lens thread going! Feel free to add your images taken with this lens here too!
My first time shooting kickball. A lot to learn, but got some decent shots. So many people jumping all over the infield! lol
Season has just started, so I'll be able to practice quite a bit over the next month and a half.
Recently returned from a week long vacation to The Outer Banks in North Carolina. We stayed in an ocean side house in Nags Head, but we traveled around a bit up to Corolla and Duck and over to Roanoke Island to go to Manteo and Wanchese. Also drove through Alligator River Nature Preserve in...
Just to have a little fun, I'd like to see what you'd bring if you had my gear.

Nikon f-mount primes: a bunch of manual focus stuff ranging from 20mm all the way up...
This was a gift to me, as I was fortunate enough to have walked into the room and saw this scene before me. I had the Fuji X-E3 and 23mm f/2 on a Black Rapid Sport strap hanging off my right hip. I immediately pulled the camera to my eye and there it was, almost perfectly framed...
**warning** the image below may not be something everyone wants to see.
Any chance I get to be outside, I try. Even at work, during my break time, I head out and walk a mile.
I usually see all matter of birds typical for the central Ohio region.
On this particular day, I happened to be...
Fuji will announce two new lenses tomorrow... - mirrorlessrumors
Could be interesting. I was disappointed in the XF 18-135 - did not like the IQ from it at all.
I could see this lens in its field of view being very useful. I hope that Fuji got this one right and I could see the 18-55 going...

Here is my review and an image thread we can all add for images taken using the Meike extension tubes.
Macro has always interested me in some ways and turned me off in others.
I liked the ability to get in really close, but normally, you needed to have a dedicated lens to bring along with...
Had a packed weekend, so not really able to get to this festival and give it the proper coverage. Did however get a chance to spend a few hours there, mainly getting a few band shots and a couple people shots.
Nikon D500 and the 70-3--/4.5-5.6E AF-P VR
Because scheduling, my father's day gift was delayed a bit...but it was worth it.
My wife and daughter got me a falconry experience. At Camp Mary Orton in central Ohio, the Ohio School of Falconry provides for an experience where you can handle, learn and hunt with birds of prey.
So, I saw these for $25 USD on Amazon and thought, why not.
A 10mm and a 16mm tube and they are stack-able. AF works with both stacked and OIS still functions on lenses that have it. I'll be doing a full review later, but I'm thinking I will be getting my $25 worth out of these.
Got these 3...
I blogged this over on one of my sites, but I wanted to share and I know some don't like clicking through links so I copied it here in its entirety.

My father, Leo, has always been a good man. He worked his hardest to make sure that all 9 of us (him and my mom plus 7 kids) wanted for nothing. By wanting for nothing that was a warm bed in the winter, plenty of food and the proper clothes for every season.
We grew up poor in cash, but never...
While being a passenger on my 6 hour trip back from Pennsylvania, I saw these and immediately thought of @Jock Elliott
Pardon the poor cell phone images, but I feel the spirit comes through.
