Stroll Seen while strolling...walking and wandering outside

A chunky trunk - the birch trees haven't yet sprouted new leaves here in Sweden. This is from a recent stroll in a place called "Järavallens Strövomåde", which is essentially a forest with trails sandwiched between the E6 motorway and the sea.

Film What FILM (!) photography related item did you buy this week?

I am waiting on delivery on a Sigma 28-105 f/2.8-4 Aspherical to use as a walkabout lens on my Nikon F-801s. Not exclusively a film lens, but definitely from the film era (1995). Steve

Micro 4/3 Olympus 12-100/4 Pro: Flexibility vs Portability

I had this lens and sold it. It is a fantastic lens from an IQ, stabilisation and versatility perspective, optically great from wide open. There are two downsides to this lens: 1. It's a bit big and heavy. 2. Only f/4, so not the best lens for subject separation. And it was #1 above that made...

    Micro 4/3 Kamlan 50mm f1.1 mk2, for some fun with the PenF…

The "glow" around the highlights makes it look quite film-like. It reminds me of film with less than perfect anti-halation properties (I am looking at you, Fomapan 100). I like it (y)

    Fuji Fuji X-H2

While protecting the screen is one of the benefits of the arcticulating screen, the main one for me is the "hide" aspect. I prefer to do everything through the viewfinder (or EVF), it makes the workflow more similar when I am switching from digital to film cameras and back again. I also need...

    Fuji Fuji X-H2

Am I the only one that actually likes the fully articulating screens? The biggest benefit for me is that for 99% of my shooting I do not use the screen, so I can flip it around and hide/protect it. Having said that, choice is good and I can understand why some do not like the articulating...

Documentary Urban Unquiet - Modern Dystopia

Thanks John. Was this forum known as something else before the current name? I seem to have an existing membership of a Fuji-related forum that has carried over. This time, I am a refugee from that other Micro Four Thirds forum... Steve

Micro 4/3 What Do You Use MFT For?

I use M43 (E-M1.2, O12-45, O40-150 (plastic) and O30Macro) for pretty much all my digital work - this includes travel, architecture, urbanscape, a bit of landscape and macro, plus product photography. I find it a great balance of size, cost and image quality. I also shoot a fair amount of film...
