Winter has been kind of warm as of late, how about in your area?

Brr... okay, I should be counting my blessing over the 69 degree weather then ;) Speaking of which, frosty mornings are back in again this week in my area.

Fixed. Tried Flickr's Aviary feature, didn't realize it broke the link. :)

Winter has been kind of warm as of late, how about in your area?

Not expecting to see white on the ground (only snow once every 30yrs or so here), but not expecting to see green either.. PP-ed image, not representation of actual colors :) Strange winter weather by bigpow, on Flickr

Fuji Warming up to new X100S

Useful, especially the DR explanation. But, doesn't really address my issues. I set Auto ISO with 1/125s shutter speed and still get blurry shots, due to AF. Focus & recompose could be why (also mentioned as big no no), but then again, I don't understand why at only f/2.0 and 2.8 and 23mm...

Fuji Warming up to new X100S

Thanks. Haven't seen that one. I've read Zack Arias', but it doesn't really apply to my application (not a strobbist)

Fuji Warming up to new X100S

Respectfully disagree, unlike book, camera can be learned. For example, I could never learn to like those romance novels with Fabio as front page illustrations. :-) Hence why I'm posting this thread. So more seasoned X100S owners could show me the ropes. Especially those coming / shooting FF...

Fuji X100s - soft, or is it user error?

I noticed some softness from using mine in macro mode as well, but not this bad. This looks like it was taken behind a glass window.. Is it possible, one of the film simulation mode was selected?

Fuji Why is everyone dumping their X100s?

As an owner of 5DM2 and many L and one Zeiss lenses (2/35), I second your opinion on the lack of IQ and "characters" on the X100S pictures. They require much more post-processing to bring out the 'pop' I'm used to. But, since I got mine used, at a good price and because it was to replace my...

Fuji Warming up to new X100S

Thanks for the welcomes. I'll resort to posting awful captures for when I'm absolutely baffled. For now, it's just a new system, simply need more hours. Not the first system for me, so hopefully it won't take too long before I can just enjoy shooting with it. Sticking with it. Sticking with...

Fuji Warming up to new X100S

I am really struggling with this camera: - blur blur blur (50% keeper rate) - WTH AF (50% of the time) - wishy-washy metering (50%, either +1/3 or -1/3) - CA hell - Moire party like the 80's - Missing that higher resolution & lens sharpness, for cropping I understand the last 4 items...

Fuji calling all neck straps (and other straps, too)

Just ordered a dark brown Gordy long strap. Hand strap. I'm hoping that Iwon't have to go through so many straps to find one I like, like what happened with my DSLR. IMO, the best neck strap I've used is the Luma Loop. Except that it's really not a neck strap (but can be used as one). Amazing...

Fuji Why is everyone dumping their X100s?

Hi everyone, my 1st post here. Here's another way to look at it, all those X100S on FM will go to their new respective owners. In fact, one of them went my way :) $300 less than buying new, I'm quite happy. I'm going to try and see if this DSLR killer can really put an end to my...
