Just an FYI update in case anyone is looking at this in future - I have spoken with FujiFilm here in NZ and they have confirmed that the issue is indeed valid - and are passing it on to Tokyo for their action (it will require a firmware update to correct). They said to the best of their...
Hiya,
Is it just me - or is the soft keyboard in the PC Auto Save Settings when manually entering your encryption key incomplete? It appears to be missing at least a couple of characters - including the '~' (tilde character)? Or am I blind?
I assume the X-T1 and X-M1 may have same issue...
FYI Update: I ended up going with the Kalahari Orapa K-21 which looks about right for me (As I will have my X-E2 out slung over other shoulder 90% of the time it's primarily needing to fit 14mm & 56mm extra lenses, waterbottle, few small accessories, wee mini-tripod, and hopefully a snack or two...
Thanks Amin - While it wasn't completely unusable it was seriously impaired - you just couldn't see details so no way to verify focus accurately and so on...
I'm wondering if in addition to the brightness setting being on smaller f stops (e.g. f/11 to f/16) may have also exacerbated it if the...
Hi All,
Has anyone had issues using the EVF when shooting in bright (sun) light - last weekend I was out on a really hot, bright, sunny day and found the EVF struggling (LCD was worse as you'd expect) - I would add the caveat that I did not make major adjustments to the brightness setting for...
Cool! Thanks AgentOrange (and Lightmancer & KillRamsey)!
Hope to get out for a dabble or 2 over this long weekend down here... ...as I have an extra day off so it's a 4 day weekend for me!
:2thumbs:
Apologies in advance to those that waffling on about bokeh just drives you nuts - but as I couldn't seem to find an existing thread that kinda covered this thought I'd politely ask if anyone who's used XF lenses for a bit now could comment on:
What in your opinion are the best performing XF...
Hi All - Is there any good forum posts or FAQs or webpages anywhere talking about the settings to best optimize battery life versus operational convenience/getting the best images out of an X-E2 (or similar)?
Hi All,
I just did my first 'walk around' this morning with my newly acquired X-E2 - and was surprised how rapidly the battery died?! I shot a total of 86 images in RAW+JPG mode in about 2 hours, 36 of those were with the 60mm f/2.4 which did a lot of hunting when trying to focus, but the...
FWIW on a side note (sorry don't mean to hi-jack thread) my main walk around lens on my Nikon D7100 was the 17-55mm f.2.8, backed up by the Tokina 11-16mm for wide angle work. Both pretty sharp and fast - but think the Tokina had an edge on sharpness. Also had/have the 105mm Micro and a Tamron...
Thanks Bill. So you've used a 'Stephen' yourself?
FWIW I was also looking at this SS05 Canvas Vintage Camera Shoulder Bag on EBay as well that was mentioned by a couple of people on Fuji Forums (can't recall if this one or another).
Anyone ever used any of the Kalahari Bags & Accessories (from Germany)? Any comments, advice, opinions based on experience?
Am looking for a nice compact shoulder bag that I can 'quick draw' my X-E2 out of and also carry 1-2 extra lenses, waterbottle, and some small accessories... Also a...
Out of curiosity what's currently considered the fastest of the FX lenses for focus?
Teefin1 - FWIW - I was looking for the kit 18-55 as my initial lens as a general purpose unit while I learnt the camera but as I picked up the 35 & 60 Macro second hand I won't bother with the 18-55 now - don't...
Hi All -new here- FWIW I just went through similar dilemma last 2 weeks - prices not quite so hot down here but I have converted over from Nikon D7100 to a Fujifilm X-E2 a few days ago (I ended up getting as-new second hand 35mm f/1.4 and 60mm Macro f/2.4 lens with the body). I spent 2 weeks...
Hello All,
New member here! Just got myself an X-E2 with 35mm f/1.4 and 60mm f/2.4 and looking forward to getting out and taking some shots! I'm converting over from Nikon D7100 (previously had D90, D80, and D70).
Couple of quick questions about accessories:
1. Shutter Remote Release...
