Took these yesterday at my local airfield.
caught the C17 Globemaster coming in, then drove to other side of airfield to get it going out.
Hungarian plane, dropping pilots off for training on the simulator apparently...
Not very exciting but i got a Sirui monopod tilt head today...

It's an image i found on my other computer, the one i don't use very often. i think it was taken first time out with the 14-24mm...

if you use Ligtroom or any other non destructive editing software i'm pretty sure the original image is just a click or two away with "Revert to original" button :thumbsup:
I was thinking about cropping the other day.
What i noticed is i have to do loads more cropping/straightening on images i shoot with a compact compared to when using a DSLR.
I think its because shooting using a viewfinder is a more "deliberate" action, where you would take more care with things...
i had the 70-200mm f/2.8 VR2 on the D4 & the 24-70mm f/2.8 on the D810.
i know in testing you're supposed to minimise the variables as much as possible but this wasn't supposed to be a deliberate testing session just something i discovered while fiddling with my gear.

OK generally i shoot in decent light at low ISO, occasionally i will boost ISO a bit for a fast shutter speed if needed.
Anyway i was fiddling around in my bedroom last night & it was pretty dark in there, curtains closed just before dusk.
I had my D4 & D810 out & i thought hey lets see how they...
i lost my mojo bigtime a couple or 3 years back. Had a few things going on & photography just fell by the wayside.
One of the seldom considered fundamentals of photography is that you need something decent to point your camera at in the first place.
Then you need good light. good light & good...
