Interested in knowing if you can really tell the difference between the APD and non-APD version. Thinking about picking this lens up but the APD version is 500USD more.

I ended up just buying a new XE-1 from BH. It was either getting a new lens for M4/3 or paying for a new camera and lens. At $599 for camera and the 18-55 lens I just couldn't pass up the chance to give the Fuji system a try. Now I'm looking to buy a 23mm 1.4 to round out my lenses for the X...

In the end, I ended up getting a XE1....the price was hard to beat and it came with a 18-55 lens. Now probably going to pick up 23 1.4. I think these 2 lenses will cover most of my needs.

Bringing this thread back to life. Just curious with all the new lenses that both Fuji and M4/3 have released. Anyone would move M4/3 to Fuji or vice versa?

Was just at Daughter's concert and had my Olympus EP5 w/40-150. Found the focal length too long. I find myself always shooting focal length between 24-40 and find that anything longer I rarely use. Besides I have a 100-300 Panasonic for my M4/3 unit so that should take care of the length...

Thanks. Was thinking of picking up an XE2 with kit lens of 18-55 and a 23mm for walking around city. The 16mm would be even better, but the price is a little more than I'd like to spend. I hear the 56mm is a gem as well. Could be on my list for next time.

If you were only to have 2 lenses to choose to buy, what would you buy. Mostly shooting kids, family, street, and landscape.

Question...for those that have the 16mm 1.4, do you also have or have shot with the 23mm? I'm wondering if one was to buy a prime lens, would they spend the extra $200 for the 16mm vs 23mm being that 16mm has weather proofing. The focal length is not all that different in a sense.

Thanks for your reply. So my understanding from your post would be that something like the 23mm 1.4 would not be weather resistant....thinking about buying the XT1 and some lenses and just trying to figure out what camera for example I could bring to a beach setting for the summer.

Are all Fuji X lenses weather sealed? I cannot find any information online about this. Thanks
