You could test either focal lengths’ perspective with one of your zoom lenses to see whether you have a preference. The 75mm might flatten the faces too much - certain focal lengths look more pleasing with certain faces… Might not be a very noticeable difference in the end, but worth testing :)

If I were at this stage in editing on a bunch of my own photos, I’d hit the “reset” button in C1 and use the Lightroom result as a visual guide, to see whether I can achieve the same look with a few basic adjustments. Once you went too far overboard on a photo-edit, it’s best to start over. :)...

While the 2400USD make it ‘less attractive’ to me as well, it sounds ‘less outrageous’ once I looked up the initial MSRP of the EM1 mk2 - which was 2000USD… It’s only the original EM1 that was released at 1400USD… (which would be a ‘very attractive’ price today ;)

Like everyone, I'm disappointed by these announcements... The OM1 mk2 makes an already expensive camera even more so... the 150-600mm's price difference to the Sigma versions is also tough to swallow... I don't think they would have met this level of meh/disappointment had they priced the mk2...

I’ve used the E-PM2 with the Panasonic 20mm and got some really nice results. But that 14-42mm looks really nice too! (Lately I ‘stole’ the E-PM2’s battery and used it as a spare for the Stylus 1, but I just stumbled over the E-PM2 again and figured I should take it for a spin again sometime :)

ah, interesting! I returned a lens or two for being overly harsh and contrasty in the transition, say from sky to dark tree trunks... I like a bit of blooming to soften these transitions... Haven't thought about getting a very light mist filter for that - will keep that in the back of my head :)

Composition for me is a more intuitive process… That’s why a tripod really doesn’t work for me - I often try multiple different “angles” (and later often select the first one of the series - with my composition getting worse the more I think about it… Losing sight of the image I initially saw…)...

Interesting to see how the landscape has changed a bit in regards to refurbs (Apple) vs deals on new (B&H)… An advantage of the Mini would be that you can attach a normal keyboard (even a French-Canadian :) )and some nice big monitors…
