Someone told me about a challenge from another group to create an image using a cookie sheet. Couldn't decide whether I liked the one that showed the edge of the pan or the one that was totally abstract.

Strayed from my 50mm again. Mea culpa, but there was no way I could get close enough to this Downy Woodpecker with it. As it is, I had to crop in severely even with my 70-200mm.

Peekaboo, I see you! I do love noticing life, especially blossoms that will only be around for a short while. These are Grape hyacinth, by the way (aka Muscari armeniacum).

Nicely done. Usually I don't like the top of a tree against a sky...find it hard to have it framed properly. Somehow this works. All the sky and the tree a tad off center seems to do it. Colors help. :-)

Not terribly creative, as I was short on time, but it is in line with my intent to practice shooting wide open with the 50mm, shallow depth of field, etc.

Love these!

These pussy willows (and their shadows) sit in a vase that belonged to my grandparents. The sepia processing seemed to fit the mood of 'remembering'. Shadows does that for me, too, as well as the slight out-of-focus feel to the image.

I LOVE the shadows that come from blinds.
