Sony Used gear stores no longer accepting A-Mount lenses

I guess it was only a matter of time. I knew MPB had stopped a while back, but just learned that KEH and Used Photo Pro have both stopped as well. What will this mean for prices on eBay and other used sites? Up? Down? No change? How long before Sony drops the LA-EA adapters series altogether...

    Sony New Sony (A9 Mk1) User - My Experiences/Annoyances

Let us know how that 20-40 works out. I've had the 17-28 since I moved to Sony. I love the lens but find I rarely need to shoot @ 17mm. Rather, I find myself wishing I had a bit more reach on the long end. Sony just announced a 24-70 f/2. I suspect it's going to lean toward the larger side...

Itā€™s the smoothest lens Iā€™ve ever owned. The internal zoom is fantastic. Yes itā€™s big, but it balances very well. Donā€™t expect the uber fast AF of the more recent cameras, but youā€™ll probably be pretty happy with that setup.

I'm figuring out that processing for these shots is at least half of it. This is from the same group as above, but using only the 1st, 5th, and 9th frames. Trying to capture the sun with what little detail is there and the glow. I like the colors on this one.

I've been trying to figure out how to fix upload speed on my computer for some time. I've done all the search and destroy/malware/disk cleaners, but there seems to be so much junk running in the background that uploading image files is only getting to about 47MBps after the cache fills...

Advice Wanted Anyone using RVNA insurance for their gear?

Not a pro in the strict sense of the word. I don't get paid to shoot, I sell some photos but at low enough volume to not be a business. What I do can be classified on income taxes as a hobby and costs written off as hobby expenses. No tax ID, no DBA (Doing Business As). If it continues to...

Advice Wanted Anyone using RVNA insurance for their gear?

No problem, I appreciate the response. It seems strange that no one can post some empirical or anecdotal evidence for a company they've had good experience with, there has to be people on here who are insured separately.

Advice Wanted Anyone using RVNA insurance for their gear?

Someone on another forum has been looking into them and asked a few questions. The policy is more straightforward than most with few caveats for the gear replacement sections. I have no interest in the business liability or set/prop/employee sections. Coverage is based on replacement value, not...

I spend hours and hours in direct sunlight with the lens hanging sideways and no cap. I don't have time to think about if the lens is pointing toward the sun or not. I have homeowner's insurance for the structure and contents, and auto insurance for anything to do with or in the car. Advice Wanted Anyone using RVNA insurance for their gear?

Considering the places I shoot at I think I need gear insurance. I don't run a professional business in the formal sense, so I don't need liability. Ran across this company that rates pretty high that will provide gear insurance only. Their price for my rough estimate of gear value is $200...

In truth the sensor could probably be damaged as well if there was enough focused sunlight, yet Sony feels the need to warn us about the shutter. Mirrorless cameras are going to be a prone to this where a DSLR isn't because the mirror protects the sensor and shutter. When it comes to the closed...

Shutter when power off ain't all it's cracked up to be, from my point of view. I leave it turned off in my A7 IV, I don't even know if it exists in the A1.
