Weirdly, I can pretty much tell this is from your new Df without the exif. Iā€™m so familiar with the files and the look, and those clouds/reflections and how they are rendered just screams Df. Am I right?

Advice Wanted Not sure I'm gelling with the Olympus E-300

I think I mentioned already that I didnā€™t gel with it either. I also really wanted to. I liked it a little more than the e-500, but didnā€™t gel with that either. If I gave 43 a third whirl, it would be an e-1 e-3 or e-5. I tried the 300 with both kit lenses and a prime. Didnā€™t seem to make a...

    Switching from Canon to Sony

I think it may depend on the editing software you use as well. Iā€™m a little surprised to hear that, as I was just talking with a friend whoā€™s a wedding photographer and uses Sony, and she is upset with how Adobe handles Sony colors. Iā€™ve also seen this pop up on YouTube and elsewhere, with...

The 8-25 is still Olympus branded I believe. I donā€™t think theyā€™ve converted that one to OM Systems yet. Even the OM website still uses product pics of that lens where it says Olympus. My OM5 and 20mm f1.4 both came in the cheap boxes, and both are OM branded. Pretty sure this was one of the...

OM systems is doing a wow and try event (or something to that extent), so I have a free 4-day rental lined up on an OM-1 mkii and the 150-600 for early April. I donā€™t honestly believe Iā€™d switch my flagship kit back to Olympus, but Iā€™m curious to see how good theyā€™ve come along since my days of...

That adapter is on the list for a Zf if I pick one up. Let me know how it goes if there are any updates. The idea of getting autofocus on my old F mount lenses (albeit through a ai to m adapter in conjunction) is really appealing.

I was a little excited to see them bring this back, and thought that surely with that much room, the battery would be huge and the range excellent. If I recall, its range isnā€™t even all that great.

    Canon Showcase Canon RF L 85mm f/1.2

Surprised I didnā€™t already start a thread for this one. Possible the best lens Iā€™ve ever shot with, although I donā€™t own it due to its niche use case for me. Hereā€™s a couple to start, and Iā€™ll try and backfill with more from the archives at some point.

Glad youā€™re enjoying it. Iā€™ve had both the e-500 and the e-300, and I just never jived with either or them, although I did like the 300 more. I think it was the god awful shutter sound honestly šŸ˜‚ Very dumb reason, but itā€™s part of the experienceā€¦.for better or worse!

Whelp, doesnā€™t seem anyone has wanted to buy my Pentax K200D, so Iā€™ve decided to keep it for now. I do really enjoy it and the sensor. 100% agree. Half the reason I went this big was for the giant beautiful negatives. Instant would be a step backwards imo.
