Perfect time for a camera upgrade, as I recently sent several of my older/unused camera bodies off to the local camera store for commission sale.
Picked up an almost new Panasonic G9 with a shutter count of around 370 off of the Bay.
Really enjoying the upgrade over the G85 (y)
St Peter's Cathedral in North Adelaide.
Like the higher vantage point, compared to street-level photos.
Thought that it turned out pretty good, considering the photograph was taken from 1.5km away (a warm day, so a little heat distortion unfortunately).
Wandering around the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, and stumbled across this hidden gazebo.
It was nice and peaceful sitting there for a while and reading a book.
I'd definitely grab the E-M10 MkII, it is a fantastic little camera.
I have an E-M10 Mk II and 14-42EZ combo which lives in my backpack and comes everywhere with me, some of my favourite photos have been taken with this combo.
Thanks John, you too!
Best wishes for a happy and prosperous festive season 🎅 :drinks:
Thanks for the kind offer John, I think 2023 could be the year to start travelling again (y)
I made a long-awaited visit to Monarto Safari Park recently, and while the weather was sub-par, it was still a great day out.
Chimpanzee hiding under his blanket and having a mid-morning snack of some corn.
Some nice weather today, and a day off as well, so decided to take full advantage of the dandelions flowering, and the resulting visitors.
Would have liked to have the wings show up more, but still happy with the way it turned out.
Just on dusk here in Adelaide, with what looks like a storm rolling in.
Noticed this Crested Pigeon against a rather lovely coloured background, so I couldn't help but dash back inside and grab the camera.
Wandering around the aviaries at Adelaide Zoo when I came across this little Bush Stone-curlew peaking out from between the bushes, straight into a ray of light.
Picked up a Panasonic Lumix G85 recently, for a nice price.
Wanted to give the dual stabilisation a shot, with my Panasonic 100-400.
Quite happy with the initial tests (y)
Had the chance to visit the Adelaide Zoo today, first time in a few months.
Great chance to test out the new (to me) Panasonic G85 that I picked up.
Talk about a laser-focused glare, kind of a little unsettling....
I purchased a .photos domain for my photography portfolio.
People that I've told about my portfolio seem to like the idea as the .photos seems to be easy to remember.
Found a small waterway, around 5 minutes walk from work.
It is quite a nice place to sit and relax, away from the stress of work.
Decided to take a walk today, along with my camera, and sit and watch the inhabitants for a while.
