How many cameras do you currently own?

Even though I'm not into Golf, that does beg a question, but I'll try to resist.

No I'm definitely not that organised with mine!

How many cameras do you currently own?

I'm another with too many. My database seems to be slightly corrupted but the total is slightly over 100. Many were brought for the lenses bundled with them - this is responsible for 3 of my large format cameras, most of my 35mm film cameras and quite a few of the fixed lens bodies. In the last...

North America Total Solar Eclipse, April 8, 2024

Back in 1999 I went to Belgium to get a better view of our local eclipse. On the morning it was due to happen our skies where 100% cloud cover & the campsite emptied rapidly... About 10 minutes before totality the clouds parted leaving just a little haze & giving us a view of the action. :)...

Except you titled your shot 'Fall at Easy Pass' which starts with an F. If you'd rephrased the title to 'Easy Pass at Fall' there would have been no confusion.

Consigned to the rubbish bin of history - what will become of our images?

The information from those slides MAY have been interpreted & converted to useful data before they were discarded. Some of my shots might be a bit similar, taken to see IF an approach or bit of kit works, then discarded once the lesson is learnt. I suspect even my favourite images won't be kept...

Any SLR M39 lenses such as Zenit M39 & Kilfit Kilarscope, have a MUCH longer registration (over 40mm), it's unlikely they'd focus on a L39 adapter. Typically L39 lenses have very similar threads but there are a few other M39 rangefinder mounts I think the Industar 69 is for one of them needing...

I love the look of that Sonnar. I take it other LTM/L39 lenses have their scales the visible on your adapter. This sort of issue is common in M42 lenses when adapted but I've never met it on M42 bodies which indicates the adapters don't have the threads starting at the right point - another...

Despite appearances in the photo, the tether is only for handling the birds (just as in hawking) it's not attached to anything at the other end. The owl was just coming in to land after flying freely. this shot for a previous display shows the full length of the tethers https://flic.kr/p/qJKmvH

Single In Single in April (SiA) 2024 - announcement

I've found my peaking works well on many of my adapted glass, but can't handle the softer lenses at all. Modern lenses tend to be very sharp so this could be the cause of your issues.

It's the first of these single challenges I've spotted but definitely not good timing for me. Camera histograms - are they useful?

In low light, once your eyes have adjusted to ambient conditions the screen will look VERY bright. A histogram is pretty mush essential to judge exposure under these conditions (astrophotography etc).
