Pentax K5 replacement not arrived yet, so had a go this weekend with a Pentax Kr (donated to my youngest back in 2012 but borrowed back from her cupboard).

First Drag meeting of the year at Melbourne Raceway, near York, had a smaller entry than normal, but it was at least a dry day after the recent downpours. A second week (for me) to be amazed by what scooters can do :eek:

Nothing flash, Larry, just a lot of fiddling with Elements' "Spot Healing Brush" and "Healing Brush". I did this in small bits as the crane was in the sky and then covered different buildings. I usually go for the Spot Healing Brush first and then if it needs it clone a bit from somewhere else...

Was enjoying using the Pentax K5 till the mirror started sticking up so have sent the camera back to the dealer and a replacement is on the way. A few from my weekend.

Still a bit rusty, and buffeted by 40mph winds, but a few from last week's eclectic bike meeting at Croft.

Another walk with my newly acquired K5 and a Tamron 70-300 which I originally bought for £50 to try as an adapted lens with a Sony A7. IMO both punching well even in 2024.

I agree 100% with you, Scott (y) . I just love the handling and the IQ isn't bad either (I've posted a few I took a week ago here). For motorsports the main problem, for me, will be a lack of light-ish weight telephoto lenses and poor AFC but finding out what I/it can do will be part of the fun!
