Micro 4/3 Macro with 60mm and 75-300II (plus canon 500D)

Although I have the G9II and Gh6, I still love the Gx85. Amazing camera for all sorts of things. Here are two examples of 35 MY old 1/2" snail shells. These are handheld using the built-in flash with the fossil on a black mouse pad. I love the 60mm f2.8 but the 75-300 with the dual element Canon...

Micro 4/3 Lumix GX8 Experiences and comparisons sought

I've always had the to Pany M43 cameras (2 Gx8/2 G9/G9II & Gh6). That being said I have had a Gx85 (got mine about a year after they came out) the longest of my cameras. The Gx8 was a great camera, I never had issue because I used it with electronic shutter & 12/35,35/100/100-400 lenses. That...

Too often I grab my birding outfit thinking its the only way to get good birds images. On my reptile viewing trips to the SW I take a Gx85/Oly 75-300II due to it weight. Here is a none reduce/sharpened AI image from that kit: The moral is imaging with whatever you have and enjoy the wildlife....

I had a stroke last night

In a free market, entries are often based on supply and demand. Where market capital is supplied give a projected ROI, entry is often limited due to projected limited demand. Small demand, high intrinsic value often results in very high prices to make a ROI on Investment. I taught many MBA...

I would think that the product ion of such a product to medical standards requires a very specialized lab, extremely well trained/education production team to meet a limited demand. Look at the cost of antivenom. How about security?

When I travel I take small kit and I often get surprised about what I can capture with it. While looking for reptiles we were in the turn-a-round area for an air show. This is what I got.

The only way to choose a camera, is to buy or rent, and then image what you love IMHO. Micro 4/3 Showcase Panasonic 14mm 2.5 Image Thread

Pany 14 with CGW1 (when compared to my PL8-18, this adapter makes the lens about a 10.5 mm): Had this lens since 2014, and will never sell it. I've added a noise reduced & sharpened in On1 to show what new software can do to a P14/GCW1 & EP5 image.

    Your experiences with traveling light?

My travel kit is: Gx85, Pany 14 with the GCW1 (when tested for fov, the GCW1 is very close to the 10mm on my 8-18mm) so the combination gives me a 28mm for street and a 20mm for wide at f2.5, and then either the Pany 35-100 f4/5.6 (amazingly sharp) or the Oly 75-300 when I am in the SW. In a...

Micro 4/3 Back to building up M4/3 setup.

Last year I decided to simply my system. Of course, everyone's lens lineup is very different according to needs. My main line lenses are the Oly 60mm, PL: 8-18, 12-60, 100-400. f2.8 is fast enough for me indoors and astro is covered by 2 astro cameras. It took a while to finalize my kit, but for...

Advice Wanted I'm toying with the idea of travel one-handed camera, need opinions/user experience please

Unless your are shooting fast action with long lens, the single AF on the Panasonic Cameras is very, very good. Gx85 is a very good option I think for a travel camera. My Gh6/G9II are not my travel kit, my Gx85 is. Ibis is very good and the 4K video extremely high quality.

Micro 4/3 Panasonic integration of "Professional" and Consumer imaging products

I have the Gh6 and G9II. While the AF for birding is very good on the G9II, the Gh6 is a video beast - already a "professional video camera". All video markets are changing - and very quickly. It could be that Panasonic has done a futures evaluation of the imaging market and it has determined...
