Anyone own a G2?
I was watching a review and it mentioned there's a common problem with AF reliability - an issue most all G2 owners deal with. Can anyone expand on this?
Thanks in advance!
Hey everyone. A little update since I last posted.
You can find some pictures from the trip on my site here:

Thanks again for all the wonderful advice, tips, and suggestions. Even despite the announcement of the new S model, I'm still tickled pink by my X100.
Happy Thursday,
Can anyone help me navigate third party x100 batteries on the market right now?
I've heard positive first-hand experiences with Promaster, but at $30 USD, seems awfully high for something that supposed to be competitive to on-brand batteries.
Then we've got:

Hey there,
Just realized I should have posted this here. My bad. Call me a noob. :frown:
So I don't know if this is old news or not, but after a conversation with a Fujifilm tech support specialist, I learned that while only 2% of X100s suffer from the SAB problem, the US repair center...
So I don't know if this is old news or not, but after a conversation with a Fujifilm tech support specialist, I learned that while only 2% of X100s suffer from the SAB problem, the US repair center has yet to receive any affected cameras recently produced.

Analog memories.
I love that idea.
A small tangent, but a relevant one. With every conference I go to for work, there's always a select few who specialize in visual note taking... it's like capturing the scene with pictures. It's the closet thing to taking pictures of an event without a...
Great feedback from everyone. Thanks, I really appreciate the amount of thought put into your responses.
Upon heavy consideration, I think I'm going the X100 + S100/LX5 route...even considering something less serious like one of those ridiculous Nikon super zooms (S9100). The Nikon N65 w/ 50mm...
That sounds like it's worth the wait... and I had no idea the Olympus and Panasonic m43 lenses were interchangeable. Again, it would seem silly for to invest in a whole other interchangeable lens system - though I imagine I could probably accomplish most of my strobist work with the m43 system...
@adanac
That's some great advice.
I have a Nikon N65 I could bring as a film backup (why don't they make full frame DSLRs that small and simple?)
I share your appreciation for film - while planning for the trip I was trying to seriously contemplate whether or not to bring my Mamiya 645 Pro TL...
Hello forum!
I'm Ollie from Chicago.
A bit of on my passion for photography: my first love was the fixed lens lomo, then to my beloved Nikon D80, and most recently a Mamiya 645 Pro TL. I know I'm a bit late the to MF game (my wallet feels it), but it's been such a pleasure to shoot with...
This is my camera. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Chicago -> Dusseldorf -> Paris -> Nice -> Florence -> Tunis -> Marrakech
That's my itinerary from mid June to mid August. It's a much needed solo backpacking trip, a great break from the 9-5, and chance to reflect.
