    Sony Optical zoom or crop?

When I owned a 2-1/4 Bronica I was more careful in composing my shots because I liked to see the whole-frame pictures. OTOH, my half-frame Pen-F didn't produce prints that took my breath away. My RX-100 pics amaze me cropped or not. What's my point? I don't know - just babbling while having...

    Sony First Video Post

I mounted my RX100 onto a quad copter. Surprisingly, there is little or no "jello" effect. Now i have to fine-tune the installation. Witespy RX100 01252013 video by xrbcoronalogoflyer | Photobucket

Sony RX100 owners: still loving it?

Do you have the Franiec grip? If not, you'll be surprised how it eases inserting the camera into your pocket and pulling it out, as well as securely holding it for one-hand shots. Just MHO.

    Sony RX100 macro capability?

    Just wondering...with a 20.2 MP capability, wouldn't a 1:1 crop be acceptable?

Sony RX100 -- no viewfinder -- is anyone troubled by that?

Trisberg posted a pic of his RX100 w/ EVF. I considered doing that, but opted to keep pocket-ability and minimum accessories foremost.

Sony How do I shut off the graphical shooting mode splash screens?

Great tip! I wish someone would start a thread "Sony RX100 Secrets - Tips & Tricks". The extensive Menu, Sub-menus, and settings can be challenging for most casual users like me. The "?" button is a superb feature of the RX100. The learning curve is steep but I learn something new...

Sony How do I shut off the graphical shooting mode splash screens?

I had the same problem, which was solved by one of our forum members with this post... "I don't have an RX100 but I'm gonna guess pressing Display (the up button on the 4-directional pad) switches between display modes?" Hope that helps. -Ken

    Sony Macro shots

I've tried PAS, focus on the ring, etc., but for me, Intelligent Auto seem to be the best setting for superb landscapes, portraits, and macro/close ups -- just pull it out of my shirt pocket and take a shot.

    Sony Macro shots

]My RX100 isn't as macro-friendly as my 12mp Canon PowerShot SD950is, which has a convenient macro setting. So I've been using the Intelligent Auto (green symbol) setting on the dial for quick macro and closeup shots. The results are OK, but I was just wondering what settings others use for macro?

Sony RX100 owners: still loving it?

Yes...with the RX100, I no longer yearn for the Rollei35 or the Leica iiig - both of which I have handled brand-new, but couldn't afford at the time.

Sony RX100 owners: still loving it?

Even though I've been an amateur photographer since the 1950s (even ran the darkroom for my middle school around 1954), I don't recall the term "decentering". So I printed the Zeiss star, intending to do a test, but don't need to, since Amin has already evaluated that. BTW, my frist serious...
