I'm changing my lens choice, and going with the 7Artisans 35mm/1.4 II (I'm not keeping the 12-28: nice lens though it is, I don't feel it offers enough new use cases above the 16-50).

A 7Artisans 35mm f1.4 ii, a Meike 60mm f2.8 macro, and some screen protectors for the Nikon Z 50. It was only a small premium to get the lenses from Amazon tomorrow instead of eventually from China.

Stroll Seen while strolling...walking and wandering outside

Looks great Scott! My wife & I went to visit Whitby a couple of years ago, not realising that it was one of the Goth weekends. We couldn't get near a parking place anywhere, so gave up and went to Robin Hood's Bay, which was lovely, fortunately. Whitby was quite a sight as we drive around...

Thanks John, top tip! I had deleted PS Express as I rarely used it, but it looks a bit slicker now, so I may experiment more.

My word, but cropping to these dimensions in LR Mobile is a tedious process of trial and error!

I've just sold my Sony a6000 with 16-50 lens, for slightly more than I paid for them. It seems secondhand prices are continuing to climb.

What books are you reading for pleasure these days?

Recently I started "Kafka on the Shore" by Haruki Murakami - entertaining and surreal so far, I think I'll enjoy this one. I gave up on "Demon Copperhead" by Barbara Kingsolver. It's a retelling of David Copperfield, set in the modern day Appalachians. Undeniably clever, it was just a bit of a...

I've gone ahead and ordered a Nikon Z50, with a 16-50 kit lens and the 12-28 as well. They can battle it out!

I'm in. Definitely the z50 (assuming it does arrive this week as promised), and currently thinking it'll be the 12-28 zoom lens.

Sign seen in Hay-on-Wye. The River Wye is seriously polluted with run-off from the many poultry farms in the area.

GAS GEAR: Please Share your Latest Disposals Big and Small

Yeah, I've considered the Sony and Fuji offerings but the Z50 seems very appealing. At the moment I'm thinking about getting both the 12-28 and the 16-50. I know there is a bit of an overlap but I love wide angle lenses for landscape and architecture, whereas the 16-50 seems like a handy general...

I think I'm circling round to pick a Z50. There is plenty of choice and the lenses are quite reasonably priced too.

GAS GEAR: Please Share your Latest Disposals Big and Small

Well, it just shows that long-term cravings are not necessarily a good guide. The Leica Q produced very sharp images, but not really that much better to my eyes than I have had from APS-C or even M43 cameras with decent lenses. The EVF was big and clear but a bit over-contrasty and saturated...

I had a stroke last night

My immunotherapy drug has a list price in the US of $15,000 per dose. I believe the NHS pays more like £5,000. I, of course, have to pay nothing for it. Thank you, Nye Bevan!

So...I did a thing today! I've ordered a Leica Q from MPB. I've craved one since they were announced...and a few weeks ago I found out that I have stomach cancer, and not bad indigestion after all. I've just started on my chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and all the indications are hopeful. But...

Feedback Issues with posting on Microsoft Edge (Android)

You could give Brave a try. It's another Chromium based browser but it is excellent for blocking ads and trackers. I've been using it as my main browser on my Android devices for about a year with no major issues. Occasionaly it throws a small wobbler and needs to be restarted but apart from...
