This is an album of straight out of camera JPEGS from a wedding booking I had this past weekend. I shot RAW + JPEG (small resolution, normal quality)... these are the JPEGS. My JPEG settings: Classic Chrome, Color set to normal, +1 Highlight tone, +1 Shadow tone, -1 sharpening, white balance...

You need to give some details (what lenses are you using? what film simulation? what are your jpeg/image settings in camera?) and post some samples of images that you're not happy with.

The camera is not the problem. Clearly the X-T1 is capable of incredible images, many time straight out of camera. Study composition and light more, and spec sheets less. Learn post-processing. Getting an A7 solves NONE of your root problems.

23mm for sure. But If you're really looking to use only a single lens/travel light setup, I would absolutely get the X100T instead.

If a more shallow DOF is what you're chasing, then I'd exclude the X10 and X20... it's possible with those cameras, but only in very specific circumstances... the sensor is less than an inch. I'd say as far as bang for the buck the X-E1 is easily the winner, especially with the latest firmware...

That "Nikon/Fujifilm" note is a dead giveaway... these are meant for the Fuji S1~S5 DSLRS which were based on Nikon N60-D200 cameras respectively, sharing lens mounts and hotshoe layouts.

Crap. This is going to make NOT buying one very difficult. Something that I didn't think would be an issue since I own an X-T1 + 35mm, lol! Thanks so much for the real-world samples, flysurfer! :)

This makes me so sad. The X-T1 shoots relatively decent video when it's "tricked" into proper settings.

Thanks for the kind words. As far as retouching goes... that "look" really just has no appeal to me. For commercial clients and other work, sure I'll put more time into it beyond the simple blemish removal I do for these... but my flickr is really just a personal and anonymous outlet for me, so...
