Recently I've spent 10 days on Iceland. The main purpose was just getting the feel of the country, and photography came second, but it is a dream country for anyone who is into landscapes.
You can see more images at Smugmug.

Last week, we travelled by bike (and partly by boat and train) from Passau (Germany) to Vienna (Austria) alongside the Danube. It was a very easy ride, through a beautiful scenery. Top it off with some days in lovely Vienna, and there's your nice holiday.

In the city of Maastricht, there used to be a factory named Artifort where they created design furniture. The brand still exists, but its city based factory is closed. They turned the building into apartments but the appearance of the factory buildings remained visible. I really like the end...
It's that time of year again. Just walking around today, every other shot featured leaves.

The past weeks were spent traveling through China for the second time in my life, spending time in both big cities and rural areas. We had a great time traveling by trains, planes and automobiles. There was a bit of a language barrier, but hand and feet are universal, so we managed.

Last week my family and I spent some time cycling around the Bodensee (Lake Constance), from Salem (Germany) to Bregenz (Austria) and then through Switzerland back to Germany (Konstanz and back to Salem).

I have mostly used smaller primes in the past years. Planning for a big trip later this year, where lens changes will be too much of a hassle, I sourced a zoom solution to go with that and ordered an EM1, 12-40 and 40-150. The former parts arrived, so today I went around with a standard zoom...

Even since the site has been hacked, I have to repeat every action (open a thread, do a search etc) before having it result in a fresh page. I did clean the cookies etc, but so far without any result. Is that me and my connection, or do others suffer from the same?
Edit: sorry for the typos...
The last 19 days I've spent in South Africa and Swaziland. Photography was challenging, esp. when sitting in a vehicle with jumpy kids. But everybody had fun, and I still managed to take some pictures of the different aspects of the tour.

On Amin's sites, upon user request he changed the setting that posts are not automatically marked as read when you leave the site. Ever since this behaviour was introduced, I had to manually mark all threads read to have un uncluttered 'new posts' view. On Mu43 this is found under Quick Links in...
Last saturday, two friends and I went to see the excellent photo exhibition "Odo Yakuza Tokyo" by the Flemish photographer Anton Kusters. I had bought his book already, and was fascinated by his visual language. The layout of the exhibition really does these amazing photographs justice...

I'm a member of seriouscompacts and mu-43. As much as the Fuji's appeal to me (my first camera was a Petri rangefinder, and I love the Fuji output) I'm still Fuji-less. My OM-D does a lot of what I want in a camera, and also stuff that a Fuji can't (tele and such). But I'm drawn, especially to...

I walked into a small brick and mortar store in a small city nearby, which is the closest official Olympus dealer, and they had one black OM-D EM-5 with mZD 12-50 in stock. Mark the past tense.
On Mytilini, tourists drive mostly mini cars or mini 4x4s (Suzuki Jimny), but the locals prefer their trucks.

Last thursday, I had an appointment at the garage, to have my car serviced. It would only take a little time, so they offered me a bike to get into town.
The weather wasn't too bad (passing clouds, only a hint of rain, and a little sunshine) when I went into town.
Soon, I learned that my...
I'm Marlof, and I like taking photographs. After years of using the Olympus E-1 and E-3 I switched to micro FourThirds in the last year. I ended up with an E-P2 and GH-2, with a few lenses. I like how I can carry a full set of camera gear in a small bag (of which I have too many, sigh) without...
