    CF card adapter question

Depending on the tablet, you may have the option of a USB adapter. If it has USB-C, you can get an adapter with a regular USB port. I only mention as I have had hot/miss luck with getting adapted memory cards to work in cameras. Even with the older CF cameras, plenty of older CF cards out...

    Feedback Site lag?

Just checked this morning and page loads seem faster today. Images are loading quickly. Have not uploaded anything to post today, so cannot comment on that yet…but a positive turn, none the less.

    Pentax Pentax MX-1 First Impression

I guess this is both an "I'm sorry" and "You're welcome" reply. Pentax definitely has some special magic. I'm going out to shoot with it today. I've relegated myself to shooting RAW and then if I find something that I think fits well with the monochrome or reversal film JPG, I process in...

Nikon Anyone tried LTM or M mount lenses on Z mount?

Yes, I really like using the Voigtlander 12mm f/5.6 on it when I want to go WIDE! I've also used the Zeiss 35mm Biogon f/2.8, 50mm Planar f/2 and Leica 90mm f/4 on it. Focus peaking works a treat. Currently using a TTArtisan M to Z adapter.

I can see why you are proud of that shot. You should be - it is epic! Thanks for sharing.

Panasonic Anyone have any experience with the Panasonic DMC L1 Four Thirds camera?

The L1 that I see comes with the Olympus 14-42. I may pass on the L1 based on what you stated on the body for now...but will look out for the 14-50 lens. Never hurts to have some upgraded glass!! :)

    OM system moved Refurb store

Huh, not sure how I feel about that. In one way - it saves development costs on maintaining that sort of the website. It provides a familiar way for people to interact and possibly use eBay financing for the purchase. On the other, makes one wonder how they can be taken seriously selling on...

Nikon Not much love for Nikon’s F mount or older DSLRs

Not nostalgia - there are just some cameras that are geared toward the photographer and stills. Today's cameras are all about the hybrid video experience and turning the handling paradigm more toward how cell phones work and getting content to social media. I think that is why, while I do have...

Panasonic Anyone have any experience with the Panasonic DMC L1 Four Thirds camera?

Found one for a decent price - was wondering if there is anything that I'm gaining by getting an L1 if I have, say - the Olympus E-300 and the E-510? Seems to me the E-300 is basically the same thing, in theory as the L1. I'm thinking no...but wanted to make sure before I passed it up...

    Sony New Sony (A9 Mk1) User - My Experiences/Annoyances

Honestly, it is hard to tell sometimes what other may have done or tried to do. A factory reset is the first thing I do with any camera, even a new one as sometimes they are taken out and mucked with at the store and not all the settings are “right “. Makes me wonder if there was perhaps an...

Pentax My First Outing With The Pentax K10D

A lot of testing today with the K-50 after the auto focus fine tune. Yep - that helped a ton! The 20-40 wide open is good, as is a $35 "untested" eBay purchase for a Quantaray 100-300mm f/4.5-6.7 LDO lens. It is very much a "sleeper" lens that registers in the EXIF as "sigma lens".

This is going to sound weird - but what can I say...you all know me... Messing about with Pentax again...and trying out the K-50. I have a K-3 coming soon as well. Anyway - got a 20-40/2.8-4 Limited zoom for it...but also wanted to have something longer....but I didn't want to spend a whole...
