    Roses for my Rose

I made rose calendars for my wife (Roses For My Rose) with no calendarium included, just the full-frame photos. She loves them and from time to time flips the pages to any rose she likes at the moment. All the photos were taken on a stroll through the Rose Garden in Bern, Switzerland, within...

Did it again ... calender present for Christmas

Like in the many years ago I again made a calendar (A3 for best friends and family, A4 for friends and acquaintances). At this price I just don't get a really nice book any more. And this is nice company throughout the year.

    Lens Olympus 4.8-6.7/75-300mm

I loved this lightweight from the beginning. But when I bought the 4/12-100mm it stayed on the shelf. With his posts lately Miguel (@MiguelATF) reminded me of this small and handy gem. 150-600mm would have meant an armlength and three-pound giant in earlier times, not to mention the price of it...

Documentary Not so well-known but one of the great artists of the 20th century: André Evard

André Evard, a Suiss artist with an impressive variety of styles and techniques, is unjustly so little known. This exhibition in a small, private museum shows that he was one of the great painters of the 20th century. The famous architect Le Corbusier was among his friends during his studies...

strange things happen in PP ... any idea?

Sometimes when I do a little PP refinement I get strange structures: • light halos around the structures • line structures within the monochrome parts, e. g. sky Till now I haven't found out where these come from. But they appear sometimes when I use a function called HD . See the attached photos.

Documentary Doors - mirrors of those behind them

For quite some time I've been fascinated by the way people style the front doors of their houses. Of course you see immediately how much money there is behind these doors. But there's something more to it. Each of these doors reflects in a very special way the personality of the owners behind...

Definitely worth a visit, both because of its architecture and Paul Klee's beautiful paintings.

    Stroll Strolling through Bern (Switzerland)

When you don't want to be packed with bodies and lenses the LX 100.2 is a good enough tool. I'm using it for what I call "photographic diary" but I like to get some creative shots in between, too. This Pana is good at both. Some more photos of this beautiful town can be seen...
