The Bell&Howell Eyemo 71-Q I bought last week arrived just before the weekend, it became part of our living history display. The camera turns out to be version from 1941 used by the US Army Air Corps as the A-3 Bombspotting Camera. The serial number of the film door doesn't match so it's not...

Thanks for the offer, John. Yeah, shipping and import duty really are taking the fun out of stuff coming from overseas :( I've got a number of lenses I can put on this thing and I'll can switch out the film door for one with a turret VF on it. But that WW2 Illuminator sight is cool though. ;)

What game are you playing or looking forward to play?

Meh, clearly didn't bring my A-game to Heat. Was out in front for most of the game until the whole opposition slipped-streamed right passed me in second-to-last corner and I was unable to catch up. Didn't even cross the finish line on the last round. Overall the game is pretty...

What game are you playing or looking forward to play?

The Long Dark, day 29. Mainly surveying the Mystery Lake area. Doing pretty well, haven't gotten eaten by wolves yet. I actually found another revolver under a desk in the hydro dam offices, that raises my survivability a bit. Found the way up to the fire-watch station as well, though it...

    Riding bicycles

I'm about to start commuting to work again by bicycle now that it's no longer dark out when I wake up. I've got a cheap MTB with a few not-too-fancy upgrades. I generally take it out for an hour on weekends. Going more for distance and duration than speed.

What game are you playing or looking forward to play?

I would. I think it's cross-platform. I've not bought it yet, mainly because my friends haven't agreed on what to play next (and there's the one guy who is still stuck with a PS4) We played the first Helldivers game until the level-grinding became unbearable, but we had collected so many...

What game are you playing or looking forward to play?

Unless you're willing to pay for YT premium, I find watching videos on the Youtube-app is a horrible experience on gaming consoles (and mobile phones). Too many injected unskippable ads. I don't mind creators having a paid ad section that you can fast-forward over, but Google manages to ruin the...

...okay...I see why people hate wolves in this game. They appear to be a lot more aggressive in survival mode, even though I only upped the difficulty by one level. What game are you playing or looking forward to play?

Something like that. The game consists of a number of linked scenarios (with one-page story intro). Along the way you pick up treasures to help you and rescue prisoners, not doing so can lead to more monsters and stronger enemies further down the road. Like an RPG the characters and enemies have...

I'm about to escape in the final part of Blackrock Prison in The Long Dark, but something appears to be broken in the game. I come up to some spot where I have to block a door and open a pathway, but the two planks I see that show you can interact with them aren't actually working. After...
