Wow, that's much more responsive than relying on AF with the top AF/shutter release button. A lot of the times that top button just doesn't seem to quite connect for AF, requiring a second press.

Thank you Entropic, My only other familiarity with IS or OIS operation is on Nikon lenses, and my Fuji X10, and with these that stabilization hiss noise only occurs when shooting, and disengages when you've released the shutter. Maybe there's a setting I'm missing in camera?

Ha! Yes, mine has a tendency to play around black holes. I'm a poor father, I know. But an outing yesterday with my boy and X10 reminded me that faster AF isn't everything.

I hear you Same boat. My four your old just doesn't like to keep put. I keep looking at Oly for the faster AF speed ('cause that's what so many say to do), but the IQ of these X cams is just so enticing. For sure, the Olys take some fine images, but just not quite the same.

Thank you again for the constructive feedback. Though regarding colour, true it was pleasant, but also I found it more accurate, particularly in terms of skin tone. Tried comparing with flash last night though, and found that a different story. Still curious and plan to explore some more.
