I'm not especially fond of the 3:2 ratio and find that I quite often use the DP1M in portrait mode so that if I crop off the lower half it becomes like a square format technical camera. The quality of the resolution is still enough. And now that I've worked out how to link images from my blog I...
Really struggled with this one and the dead-pan daylight. It was not my intention to make it with so much dramatic contrast although web compression seems to have accentuated that. I may have to try again!!
The Sugar House.
It's been a while since I added to this thread and nothing since getting the DP2M at the beginning of the year. Great to see that the thread is continuing and is full of interesting images often about people at work.

I'm a bit late to comment but the Sigma one stands out for me not least for its more subtle colour interpretation. Still yet to upgrade to Merrill but I recognise that Foveon signature.
I have just added a test image with three unsharpened 100% crops to the gallery. Worth a look if interested in seeing the performance of the DP1X lens/sensor resolution in the image centre and from corner to corner.

It certainly isn't necessary with the original DP camera files even when interpolating up a bit. I can't see therefore that sharpening would be required for the Merrills given the resolution bump.
OK, back to past, and another picture from my DP2x (not Merrill) on a grey day in east London. This one is of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park which opens to the public at the end of July.

Yes, I have a Canon MV901 which would probably do the job you need just fine except London is probably too far to be of use! Your post however has reminded me that it is probably long overdue for going on eBay.
Oh, tough thread as the GXR was the camera that I got so close to but never bought. Let's assume the GXR continues and in the next generation it were to have the Sony (Nex7) 24mp sensor, as well as upgraded body and viewfinder. Then do people think the concept would be more long lasting or...
This is the one forum I know with a thriving Sigma DP thread, and long may it continue.
My DP2x again delivered on a typical UK overcast day finding variation and texture in otherwise dull conditions.

It's been a while since I've posted so here are a couple of DP2X images from the last few days and that are from my blog post on the London skyline.

Haven't posted for a while but here is the by now familiar, if you've been watching London 2012 that is, Orbit tower inside the Olympic Park. Haven't been up it.

Fixed it having downloaded a trial version of LR4 and made use of the new moire removal brush. So pleased that I thought I would post the samples here. I think it was an unusual situation as I've not experienced the problem before.
I'd like to know if anyone has successfully dealt with this in post production. The moire in the image in question covers a section of fine mesh fencing and includes false colour (alternating blue and orange) as well as shading. I've done some searches but any advice from the knowledgeable...
