    I think Physics is not your friend here. It's about pixel density on the chip - the higher, the more noise problems you'll get at high sensitivity. These numbers vary astonishingly. For example, my D700 has a PD of 1.4 MP.cm^2. My Ricoh GRD is 21 MP/cm2. The D700 has fabulour low light...
