I know how to set a custom setting but how do I save it? I can't figure it out.

Hi there, I noticed that there's quite some slack when I attach the 18-55 on to my X-e1, much more then for example with the 35/1.4. Is anyone familiar with this? Coming from Nikon it's feels a bit strange to me. Will it have any effect on my pics? Thanks for your answer. Bye
