Current forecast is to clear off just enough and just in time to view. I may be shooting through light overcast, not sure. Leaving in about 2 hours to try and get there before the rush, the amount of news coverage this is getting is insane.

We just got another upgrade from rain to mostly cloudy with a few breaks in the clouds.

Local news just pretty much bore this out from coast to coast. Best viewing is way upstate NY and Vermont. Everything else is iffy from mostly cloudy to rain. We've been 'upgraded' from thunderstorms to mere rain.

Surgery another success!

Today is surgery two, right eye. I admit to being a tad more nervous than the last time, it being my 'good' eye, (well, it was anyway!) but also my viewfinder eye.

I'm figuring out that processing for these shots is at least half of it. This is from the same group as above, but using only the 1st, 5th, and 9th frames. Trying to capture the sun with what little detail is there and the glow. I like the colors on this one.

This is a stack of 9 images @ 0.7.

If the weather holds until the sun comes out from behind the trees I may get some practice in today. Going to try some 9 shot 0.7 brackets and see what happens.

When looking at Tamron, try to stay with the newer releases. Their new AF motors are just as fast as Sony, but the older ones can be slower. I feel like lately Tamron has been pushing more zooms, haven't seen a new prime from them in a while.

Oh, I agree completely. Sony makes a whole slew of very nice lenses. My comments were based on cost v. value. Unless you simply must have the Sony, there are plenty of lower-cost alternatives.
