Same here. I really liked X4 from Alien Skin but I decided to keep things simple. So for now it’s Affinity and Apple Photos but my partner uses Luminar. Right now we are traveling and share one MacBook. So I see what’s possible with Luminar.

Thanks for the info. I’m travelling right now so don’t know if I will have the time and the internet to download it, but did any of you noticed if there are any improvements beside the DAM? Is it possible to download this new version and keep the old one? Thanks in advance, Jos

Maybe you worry to much. I use the latest update from Apple and everything, including NIK, works fine. But of course you might have other reasons not to update.

I just tried to download the " original" free version from the DxO website. After leaving your emailadress you get an email with the download options. They are there for MAC and Windows.

For now I'm not going to try it myself, (I'm trying Pixelmator) but I will follow your results because I'm curious what they've done with it. On their website they say they only improved the stability. I've never noticed any problems, so I wait and see. I still have, but rarely use, the original...

Just my thoughts . . . There were times that I really hoped that Nik software was been updated. I just liked their U point technology. But as time passed by I thought it might be wise to look for an alternative. And by now I don't see their way of selection, once their strong point, as a plus...

Do you think it's to much money for what they offer? Curious about how it's works on the MacBook. I'm, not so often, a user of the free version (Perfect Effects Free 9).

It's not all that bad. Here in the house they play with the new photo software on their IPads. They never did that before, but with software that simple they seem to like it . . I use software from Macphun and Nik and don't need anything else for now. There is even a Gimp version on the Mac...

Using Aperture and Silver Efex and the rest of this bundle. Like it very much. Although after reading here I must say that Macphuns Tonality Pro looks very tempting, but I will wait for the Aperture replacement . . .
