Nikon The P7700 in Venice - an user review!

Thank you for sharing your lovely article and images. As a P7700 owner, I too feel it is a fantastic creative tool.

    Nikon Nikon Coolpix P3300

Looks pretty appealing to me: Nikon Coolpix P330 Hands-on Preview: Digital Photography Review It has the same 1/1.7", 12 m.p. sensor as in the P7700, which got a pretty decent rating at DXO mark for RAW IQ: Nikon Coolpix P7700 - DxOMark It has RAW mode, plenty of manual controls and a...

    Nikon I am drooling...

Yes, BBW, I think I'd most likely buy this over the D7000 and use the money I save in the process for the 16-85 VR lens. Oh, did I say "save money", hello???

    Nikon I am drooling...

I'd say this would be one of the smallest cameras till date with features that are really 'big' and serious! If it has the same sensor as the one in D7000, it means 14bit raw files with 14 stops (!!!!!) of dynamic range (at base ISO) and awesome low light performance at an impressive 16...

Nikon Nikon P7000 - anyone own or used one?

I, for one, am impressed by the IQ - both RAW and JPEG, find it more to my taste than that of Canon and Panny rivals. 28-200 zoom range (with pretty good sharpness all across) seems awesome and pretty useful too! However, when I think of a camera this size, my attention jumps immediately to...

Nikon Is a Nikon D5000 considered a 'Small DSLR'?

I think it 'used to be' a small DSLR but no longer (after M4/3 and Sony NEX and the new SLT series). For about a month now I've been enjoying shooting with Canon's Elph cameras and now my Nikon D40 seems monstrous by comparison!

Nikon Nikon launches a competitor to the Canon G11 and Panasonic LX5

Yes, reviews of P7000 are positive by and large but people (on DPreview forums) have been complaining about slow write times while shooting raw. 3 second write time while shooting raw on a class 6 SD card is quite slow, I do tend to agree.

Nikon Nikon launches a competitor to the Canon G11 and Panasonic LX5

A review seems to be out already at quesabesde.com complete with full-size sample images and downloadable raw files!!!! Nikon Coolpix P7000: toma de contacto y muestras I am completely blown over by the low iso jpeg quality.

Nikon Nikon launches a competitor to the Canon G11 and Panasonic LX5

I downloaded some P7000 sample images from dpreview and the jpeg processing (at low iso) is the best I've ever seen from any compact! Anyhow, if I have to spend about $500 on buying a bulky compact, I'd rather buy the Olympus EPL-1 (now selling for under $500) which is in a different league all...
