I've gotten rid of all my Sony native glass. All I have are Samyang primes, a Tamron zoom and an adapted Sigma 50mm. I don't shoot sports action and I don't need a stop-action movie when it comes to action sequences. 15fps is plenty for 3rd party glass!

Get an A7RIV. Might as well go big if pixels are a concern. Just shoot less so you don't fill up your hard drive space! ;)

I'd return it for a full refund. I sold my copy which was properly AF fine-tuned and well cared for (near mint) for $380. I baby my gear and keep all the boxes, cases, etc. If you shop around, you can find clean copies between $350-$400. You can even try the Sam 35mm f/1.8 FE which in my opinion...

I've been thinking about the A7C as well, but I'm not sure I want to give up my dual card slots and bigger evf. I did that when I shot M43, switching from the EM5II to the Pen-F. Afterwards I found I actually preferred the EVF hump!

I probably won't since I still have a very good A7III as my backup. Also I like having at least one USB type-C body in the Sony kit. It charges faster and works faster for data transfers and charging the camera using a power bank (less fiddly). That's the only thing I wish the A9 mk. I instead...

I'm super happy with my Samyang 18/45 combo. Not so much with the 35mm f/1.4, but their 85mm 1.4 is a gem. I can see using the A7C with the Sam 35mm f/1.8 that's coming out!

The more I look at the A7C, the more it's growing on me. I know it's handicapped on multiple fronts to fit the smaller form factor, but I've seen some more pics of the camera and I could totally see using this as a B-cam mounted with my small Samyang primes!

I've been tempted to pick up an A7R3 now that prices have dropped big time. There are times when I could use the extra resolution when cropping, but I wish Sony had a small/medium raw option like Nikon since I don't always need full resolution.

The problem with Sony isn't so much the colors, but Sony glass! It leans way too blue for my taste. You can alleviate some of your color issues shooting other brand glass. For example Samyang glass runs much warmer and punchier, giving Sony images a different look. Same goes with adapting Canon...

In FF land, slowish 35mm and 50mm (1.8) lenses are small to begin with. I have a pancake Nikon MF 50mm 1.8 that's as big as a Panasonic 20mm. I think FE fast zooms and wide/long primes will be close to the same size as DSLR equivalent lenses.
