Sony Original RX1 vs RX1r2 rendering, which is better?

the RX1R II is a incredible beast, and much better then the original, which I love dearly and call a 'cult classic'. The focus is faster and just better on the RX1R II, and that sweet 42mp sensor just renders in such a sweet way, I own both, and when Sony makes a 3rd, I will buy that also.

Sony Big Sandy, Sony RX1R II and the HepKitty.

I shot Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite boys last night. I took only one camera, a camera I hadn't yet tested in low light concert photography. But I was confident, as its predecessor has done me well and is very responsible for my signature look to my images. The Rx1 is magic for me, it is not just a...

Sony Sony RX100M3 why can't I select drive mode while in manual setting?

Honey, the Rx100 MIII is a very powerful feature packed little jewel of a camera with a superb lens, you made a great purchase and will enjoy this tiny easy to carry everywhere camera. The features and menu's do take some learning, but the files will reward you. Good luck, Hepkitty

Sony Sony RX100M3 why can't I select drive mode while in manual setting?

I found your problem under the menu for ISO you cant be in multi frame wich is iso auto, you can be in auto, but not iso auto.

Sony Sony RX100M3 why can't I select drive mode while in manual setting?

G o into your menu and turn off all noise reduction settings.

Sony Sony RX100M3 why can't I select drive mode while in manual setting?

I did what you just said, hit the left rear control dial and was taken to the drive menu and can select any setting, I also use the 2 second mode a lot. Maybe there is a way of resetting your camera, because the MIII can do this, as mine is.

Sony Sony RX100M3 why can't I select drive mode while in manual setting?

I can select drive mode on my Rx100 mIII, I am in manual, I hit the FN button and I can change the drive mode to all the given settings. So, something isn't quite right with your camera.

Sony Problems with the RX1R films are very good but pictures are overlightet

And here is where you fail and are wrong, I replied to the original poster to shoot this camera in manual and control his exposure, that will fix his friends over lightened images.

Sony Problems with the RX1R films are very good but pictures are overlightet

I don't feel any hostility or ill will, Though for me the RX1 is a very easy camera to shoot in full manual and I believe this is where the magic happens, I think the semi auto modes start causing this camera to render like other 35mm setups meaning the rx1 loses some mojo, but I know we are all...

Sony Problems with the RX1R films are very good but pictures are overlightet

This is half correct. I am sure you are aware of the dial to control shutter speed. So no, you don't need to go into a menu for shutter speed, but yes you do for ISO. I can easily change settings with the camera to my eye and do it all the time, but I am mainly adjusting shutter speed with the...

Sony Problems with the RX1R films are very good but pictures are overlightet

I disagree, I do have control in manual, sometimes I want to a slow shutter speed to convey motion blur, post processing doesn't give me this, knowing how to shoot in manual does. Sometimes I want to freeze motion for a sharp subject in lowlight settings without using flash, yet get a good...

Sony Problems with the RX1R films are very good but pictures are overlightet

I truly believe it is the best way. I want total control of my output, full manual is the only way for total control and again I believe the best way.

Sony Problems with the RX1R films are very good but pictures are overlightet

Again folks, shoot this camera in full manual, learn it, let it be a extension of your hand, you will find you can quickly change all settings in all situations and don't rely on auto anythings making decisions for you, this body makes shooting in full manual so easy, it will change your...

Sony Problems with the RX1R films are very good but pictures are overlightet

this powerful camera needs to be shot in Manual mode. One must control all settings for the magic to happen. Yes it still does a nice image in any of the auto modes (Aper. priority, shutter priority, ect) but the magic happens when you shoot in full manual and YOU control your exposure. I have...

Sony Disappointed with my new Rx100

I love my Rx100, in fact it is my most used camera, but it isn't for everybody. I don't even know what P mode is or does. I shoot in full manual.

Sony Recommended camera RX1R, A7S or Fuji x100t or XT1

the output from the Rx1r is superb, this tiny machine makes stunning images, and has ruined most other cameras for me...... It is a gem.

Sony Sony RX100 iii .. what are we doing wrong? Wal-Mart type Camera?

I just love how the Rx100mIII renders at the wide end........ I like the goofyness!
  19. Lucille

Sony Sony RX100 iii .. what are we doing wrong? Wal-Mart type Camera?

I can say the Rx1 with its 35mm Zeiss is far superior to the 35mm f/2.8 on the A7, which I also own. The 55mm f/1.8 is the lens to buy for the A7, that one has the rx1 look and rendering to it.
  20. Lucille

Sony Sony RX100 iii .. what are we doing wrong? Wal-Mart type Camera?

The Rx100III sure doesn't have the pop of the Rx1, and yes the Rx1 blows the Rx100 away, as it should, but I personally love the goofyness (distortion) I get with the 24mm wide angle from the Rx100.. And for what it is in such a small package, it's images are quite nice, better then some of my...

Sony First stroll with the A7S

I think you should lend me this rig, so I can see if it's 'HepKitty approved'!

Sony Sony RX100 iii .. what are we doing wrong? Wal-Mart type Camera?

Don't even get me started on the distortion...... Those crooks at Sony really pulled the whool over my eyes...... I guess I can use this thing as a paper weight..

Sony Sony RX100 iii .. what are we doing wrong? Wal-Mart type Camera?

Sony Sony RX100 iii .. what are we doing wrong? Wal-Mart type Camera?

I agree, this drab, dull, lack of color and no sharpness of a camera really sucks, Sony shafted me when they conn'd me into the Rx100 mIII, Hate it. I'll force myself to live with it for awhile until I can sucker some fool into buying it from me.

Sony Sony RX100 iii no touch screen. wow

I find my Rx100 mIII has a shutter button. I press shutter button and image shows up. I love it, and I love the wide 24mm, more Rx100 mIII for me.

    Sony Minimum Shutter Speed?

I always shoot my Rx1 in manual as I want full control of all settings, and I can quickly change aperature, shutter speed and iso as light conditions change, I have NEVER missed a shot due to having to change settings, the Rx1 is a extension of my hand...for me, it's always full manual control...
