Well, MPB delivered just in time: The flash commander came in today, just before the entire country goes into Easter hollidays, I will look a bit further into the VAT issue. I think I have paid it in Germany as well as on the import to Norway, and that should not be necessary. It came in its...

The Nikon D7000 with the 18-105mm is wrapped up and off to the buyer this afternoon. A reasonable short foray into the 4 digits Nikons concluded. The entire foray leaves me with a Nikon DX 35 f:1.8 for about €50. Time will show if that one, either separate or along with the 60D and the 17-85 (or...

I do have a Godox 350 of the AA battery sort and a 200AD pro, but neither of them have any sort of weather sealing and given the local weather, for something I plan to use outside, I like the idea of some sort of sealing on it. The 700WR is probably the smoothest flash experience on camera I...

Well, after posting in the last desires tread, I thought I should have a look at the Oly Flash Commander WR, so I did. Turned out MPB had a second hand one, with the description "As new" with the box and paperwork for €133 inc postage, so I bought it. A bit curious if the Norwegian VAT of 25%...

I had the 1.4 when I had the 40-150 f:2.8, and found it to a rather nice one on that. Now its a bit more out of curiosity, and €200 for a used one is way cheaper than the 150-600 the combo mimics. I have an unused set of Meike extension rings that may be finally be aired, and also trials with...

Nothing much going on the gas dept. Have a shopping cart on ebay with some accessories, a 10 pack of rear- and bodycaps, a twisting lens cover for the TG-5, a automatic ditto for the 14-42EZ and a tulip sun shade for the 12-50, as I dont like the square one. "Big" ticket items I fancy at the...

So, today I finally managed to get cracking on the cull, so now the G9 is up in the local classifieds, ditto with the Nikon D7000/18-105 combo. Pics of the P-L f: 2.8-4 zoom trio plus Lumix 1.4X TC are taken and undergoing PP, so will probably get those up as well, even if I am dragging my...

Last of the E-PMs was turned over to the postal service today, the silver one was the first to go, by happenstance. Advice Wanted Replacement for a Panasonic GM5

There really isnt much in that sub-compact area to choose from, I would be tempted to say that it is at least worth it to check the repair costs. I would repair it if the cost is less than the €450-500 range, which seems to be in the ball park of what they currently is sold for. Other than...

Looks nice, and that 8x30-32 is probably the best General Purpose range size binocs out there. The compact sets are nice for a quick glance, but good quality 8Xs is in my opinon good for carrying, works for prolonged observation as well as the quick spots under way.

My 8-18 haven't seen much use after I got the 9 mm. I very seldom carry just one lens, and the overlap of the 8-18 with any of the zooms starting with 12 at the wide end is rather large, and the reach step-up pairing it with a Tele zoom is somewhat too broad. I am pondering selling it.
