Fuji The great X100V discussion thread (formerly "specs leaked")

FWIW, I've noticed the "F" version to appear sharper, at least to me, than the previous incarnations. I've owned them all and was never pleased with the "focus sharpenss" on the previous versions. I've wondered if Fuji finally got the AF right on the "F". I gotta' wonder. . . . David

    Fuji X-Pro3 first impressions

At 3fps and above via the drive button, "clarity" is no longer selectable. Truthfully, this isn't a problem for me. However, it does look like there may be a few inadequacies with the complexity of the "clarity" function and the buffer size/write speed. My wife, a retired broadcast engineering...

    Fuji X-Pro3 first impressions

Bill et al, Yes, there was a bit of lag when I increased the clarity to a +3 and the blacked out finder did keep me from making a second and third image immediately thereafter. For me it probably won't be a problem. However slight, (or not), it is there. . . . David

    Fuji X-Pro3 first impressions

The X-Pro3 arrived last night around 5:30ish. It was very cold so a warm up session was a given. I tried a couple of quick shots last night but considering how dark our house is in the winter it was a silly attempt. This morning I set up some of the more obvious controls on the beast and gave a...

Fuji Let's start talking about the X-Pro 3

I'm an ardent bike trail rider and indoor "spinner". I turn the big "7-O" in a couple of weeks and my right knee has just about met its match. The flip down view finder on the "3" may help me out a bit getting framing from near ground level and not causing my knee to make odd noises when I'm...

Fuji Let's start talking about the X-Pro 3

I still have an X-Pro1, sold my X-Pro2 and, as previously mentioned, am awaiting the "3". The "2" performed very well for me but there are a number of reasons that drove me to take the plunge for the "3". The flip down screen, unique as it is, was one of the primary reasons along with the...

Fuji Let's start talking about the X-Pro 3

Fuji Let's start talking about the X-Pro 3

I "think" I'll like the missing back screen. I have a fully functional R-D1s and have always enjoyed shooting with it, even with it's handful of "oddnesses". And yes, I do have a "3" on pre-order with B&H. I'll probably sell my X Pro2 once I'm certain the "3" is functioning as it should...

Fuji Let's start talking about the X-Pro 3

I have owned every incarnation of the X100 and the "F" model's auto focus is much more accurate, at least in my opinion, than its predecessors even in the "optical" mode. . . . David

Fuji Let's start talking about the X-Pro 3

It looks nice, really nice. I really like the digital film box "Stubs". Too cool. For me the big question will be size. Hopefully the "3" has lost a bit of "girth" compared to the "2". Hmmmm, I was thinking about sell the "CL". . . . . . . . . . David

Fuji Recent Thoughts on the XE3

I really like our X-E3 especially with the Zeiss Touit 32mm on it. Also works well with some of the 7a lenses too. Very light and small. A great image making tool. . . . David

Fuji Two pieces of equipment Fuji should make

The smaller the better. I wish Fuji would consider an X Pro 3 in the size of the X100F. I hauled one of these around for years. 'Nuff said. :rolleyes-74: . . . David

Fuji Why do you like/love/hate the Fuji XPro cameras?

I have a X Pro1 that's kinda' beat but it still makes decent images. My problem with it is that I end up carrying ND filters in my pocket when I go out because I often run out of shutter speeds and/or ISOs when I want to compress the DoF. I didn't click well with the X Pro2. The images...

    Fuji "Aging" Fuji Compact Cameras

I stil have a Fuji XQ1 I sometimes take with me when we are out for a walk or snowshoeing. 'Just playing around with undoubtedly the...

Fuji Interesting read about the 35mm 1.4

The XF35/1.4 is an amazing lens. It most certainly is sharp enough, even wide open. However, equally important is the way it writes an image. I left Canon full size sensor cameras, at least in part, because of the way my images came out on an X Pro1 with the 35/1.4. It's one of the few...

Fuji Manual focuser has it pretty well with Fuji?

I use an X-E2 most of the time with my 7a 25mm. Admittedly, with full magnification on when focusing there are some wobbles visible but nothing that keeps me from getting an accurate focus most of the time. At least no more so than with a Summarit or Zeiss lens on my CL. Again for $79. the 7a...

    Fuji X-PRO1 GAS

I'n my opinion, yes. Other may well disagree. I really like the simplicity of the X-Pro1 and I'm very fond of using the OVF when the subject matter is appropriate. The X-Pro2 is a wonderful image making tool. It just didn't "click" with me. (Puns intended.)
