Fuji X-S10 firmware update stripped my info

On occasion, Fuji does do a full reset after a firmware update. Usually Iā€™ve had it happen after a major version jump, say like from 1.1 to 2. Rare, but no unheard of.

    Fuji I was wondering ...

That is my site....I try not to use it too often here - don't want people thinking I'm trying to push anything...but sometimes it just makes sense to just share the post, rather than re-type out all that info. :) I did at one point sell off the 50/2 and got the Fuji 56/1.2 WR. That is one...

    Fuji Used Backup Fuji body

Unless you really need IBIS, I found the XT4 and XT3 so close in function and operations - that the only significant difference is the IBIS. I know for me, if I dipped back into Fuji and wanted a pro body, the XT3 would be the one that I looked at really hard first. I do really like the XE...

    Fuji X-Pro3 first impressions

Given the proliferation of screen issues on the XPRO 3, Iā€™m surprised it is as desired in the used market as it is. I can see the XPRO2 still having some appeal and against the X100 series it is the choice of you want interchangeable lenses.

    Fuji X-T5 Image Thread

Agree and 99% of the time the Xpros are rocking prime lenses. There are occasions where the small zooms are more preferable and the 18-55 fits that niche well.

    Fuji X-T5 Image Thread

The 16-80 is a fine lens and a great range. I found it better on the XT3/XT4 body style. Since I only have the XPro2 - I prefer the size of the 18-55 and have gone back to that.

Fuji Your Fuji photo editor of choice?

I almost forgot, but there is an OEM Fuji X Raw software as well. It is not the fastest, but it does work. I do shoot jpg mostly on the XPRO2, but the ability to connect the camera and process the raw via the camera and then surft any of the pure saved film simulations is a fun and quick option.

Fuji Viltrox 85mm 1.8 Mark II on Fujifilm XT 2.

Iā€™ve been rather impressed with the Viltrox lenses. Had a 24/1.8 for Nikon Z-mount until my 28/2.8 SE arrived. Really liked the performance all around. Biggest weakness was the distortion in the corners. That 85mm looks very good as well.

    Fuji Sigma 18-50 2.8 coming

I'm going to be 100% transparent. I've had major issues with Sigma gear. I've tried many lenses in the past and had performance issue and deal breaker focusing issues. Optically, I like what I see...but those past experiences always put doubt in my head. As just one example, I tried several...

    Fuji Sigma 18-50 2.8 coming

Unless they know something we don't, it may be a misstep on Sigma and Tamron's part to be bringing those lenses to market without OIS/VR/VC in the lens. At the prices they are asking, a used 18-55/2.8-4 (yes, I am aware that the Sigma/Tamrons are f/2.8 constant) may be a more attractive...

    Fuji Fuji X-T5 Announced

Now that Fuji has that out of their systemā€¦.I hope they give us an X-Pro4 with IBIS. They do that and the X-T4 will go up for sale. Not so much a MP chaser, so IBIS is really it. I would love to run a dual X-Pro2 and X-Pro4 kit.

    Fuji Tamron 18-300 for Fuji

I highly doubt that any non OEM lens is going to work in dual stabilization mode. I donā€™t know of any camera maker that has that. Fuji stabilization is much like the Tamron G2 VC modes. Shooting only kicks in once the shutter is fully depressed Continuous runs the stabilization at half press...

    Fuji Weā€™ll, that escalated quickly

Sony does make a lot, but not all, the sensors for most cameras. However, companies like Nikon have their own designs and they have Sony fabricate them as Nikon does not have their own fabrication facilities. It would cost more money for someone to request a base sensor tech that is not part of...

Fuji Fun with Film Simulation 'Recipes'

What I like to do when sampling some film simulation recipes is to shoot in raw and then process them in Fujiā€™s software. It will allow you to enter the same Film simulation recipes values and affect the raw.

Fuji What upgrade would you do?

The XT4 is a cut above the XPro2 and aI have both. Not had a chance to use an XH2 yet, but I it should be very close if not practically the same. XT have a slightly smaller body than the XH. I've shot indoor fencing with the XT4 and it impressed me.

    Fuji X-T3 shutter issue

That setting he is referring to is basically Fujiā€™s way of saying that the camera is being put in charge of which type of shutter to use depending on shooting condition and need. Fuji XPRO2 cold weather shutter sticking

I decided to inspect the battery a little more. I think it may have started to bulge some. Couldnā€™t perceive any distortion of the case with the eye, and I do not have any kind of calipers to check scientifically. However, I did notice that the battery did not drop freely from the battery...

Oh, we are just positing some theories back and forth...we allowed to be nerdy! :D I mean, it could be but I'm not sure we know what Fuji is thinking. They have done some "weird" stuff in the past that they never really explained, like still having the XT3 and XT4 as co-flagships, or even...

Fuji X-H2 with Two Different Sensors.

I think Nikon has debunked the need for a smaller sensor for faster readout as the Z9 is 45mp and FX size and a beast without a mechanical shutter! Truth is we don't really know. My hope would be that both would be BSI stacked with a fast enough readout to eliminate/reduce rolling shutter...

    Fuji Tamron 18-300 for Fuji

I have my doubts on the overall quality of a superzoom of that magnitude. If a third party lens manufacturer can pull off a winner with that, it would be Tamron. I'll give them that. They are my fav 3rd party lens maker. I too have the 16-80 and the 70-300 and I can't see much of anything...
