Converted to B&W after watching the video on Luminous Landscape and trying to reproduce his methods.

I love the horse eating the jacket. The veins on the shoulder of the horse are as detailed as you could possibly want.

Thistle with insects

Spider Sculpture in front of the National Gallery of Canada. I only take photos of real insects by accident when they're on a flower.

@BB The light in this is beautiful. @Barrie Are you shooting these wide open. The detail is terrific and I love the bokeh.

Both photos were taken with the LX5. The chickadee is sitting on my finger and I have the camera off to the side in the other hand. Definitely a shot that could not have been taken with the X1. The chickadee is in the Mer Bleue area and people go there just to feed them so they are quite tame.
