I am not into dogs but I took this shot during the vacation for all dog lovers at the forum.

First shots with Zeiss APO Sonnar 135mm f2 I got my new Zeiss 135mm APO Sonnar lens today together with the serviced X-T1 and took the opportunity to take a few quick shots to get a first impression. A descent report will follow later but I am rather pleased.

Cool thread! Thought to add some of my favorite "mood tree" shots: an old one taken with a little compact many years ago expressing sadness and hope (to me, at least): I believe the official term is "sad tree" (a literal translation of the Dutch word "treur wilg".

Nice set, Carl. #3 is my favourite. I think light, color, contrast, lines, compositional balance, subject (isolation) and the idea align very well in this photo. A good idea to take only half of the first tree because this way it draws attention to the colourful tree. The lines in the land...

Thanks, Ruby! Perhaps I should buy a kilt. It wasn't possible to focus on the eyes w/o focus peaking and I just did not have the time/patience to do that. I used f/8 to get sufficient DoF so the eyes would probably have been sharp in #3, if they would have been visible. The cow just did not...
