Browsed through Day 1, wow, you guys started off with a bang, wonderful pictures! Makes me almost regret I didn't join in, but I'm afraid I'm too busy right now.
Thanks Matt @MoonMind for running another challenge in these challenging times. I've had my dips, missing out on a few days, but I enjoyed participating nevertheless. Hanging out here is one of the things that bring joy to a day, now that many other things are cancelled or frustratingly limited.
I missed out on a few days, but generally I enjoyed the challenge. And I discovered that I really like the Loxia 25mm on the Sony A7R4. I was curious if I'd get fed up with this combo but I don't apparently. The lens has hardly left the camera.
A new low for me in the challenge. 10 minutes before midnight and about to go to bed, I remembered I had to make a picture for Day 22. So here it is, a relatively uncluttered part of the living room. Sorry, but the challenge doesn't impose a lower limit on the quality of work :).
There's a wind vortex just in front of the backdoor so every time you open the door, the fallen leaves are blown in . Time to put my boots on and clean up for the first time this fall 😒.
Just returned from a 2-day trip with my wife, so catching up with this one for day 14. BTW, it was shot on the 14th so I'm only a day late in presenting it; I never do on-the-road processing. We spotted this on our way from dinner to movie (No time to die).
For this SiO 2021 I simply go with the flow, I don't force myself to fit a photography outing in my day when I have other things to do, want to do nothing or indulge in other hobbies. So I already built up a stash of safety shots for this challenge :).
So far I'm happy with putting the Zeiss...
Detail of the antenna setup from the pick of the day. I'm not a good mechanic, but here you can see I compensate for that with improvisation: the cap is a rain protector made from a freezer box and I hacked an old tripod (my first one, a Velbon VE-3) to support the antenna.
A 5-minute walk took me to the Eindhoven Marathon parcours and I was just in time to see the last runner. The shots turned out to be a nice enough series. All-in-all not too bad for a half-hour outing.
Thanks, that's a positive surprise. I feel the shot is messy and there's not a very clear center of attention. In general I like cleaner, simpler photos.
