    There were some large fields of bluebonnets on the east side of Hempstead on 290 / 6. But they were on the ring side of the highway and the shoulder was crowded with other cars. The baffling thing was people thought it was ok to climb over the fence and trespass on the property.

    These were taken near Washington, Texas. It is close to Washington on the Brazos where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. The blue bonnets are starting to come into bloom but not at peak yet.

    I am a Houston native. The tallest building used to be the two story garden apartments and the Chinese restaurant. The apartments are still there but the restaurant is long gone. Whenever I drive the section of Post Oak between San Felipe and the 610 loop, I feel like I am entering a canyon.
