Before and After: Lets see yours :)

Hi Ray, my apologies, missed seeing your question. The D800e was definitely on a tripod. a big honking studio tripod in fact. A Manfrotto Triaut 058B with a heavy Junior Geared Head. I was bracketing shots at ISO100 (f16) and this was the darkest image of the series. Ever since I realized that I...

Sue, this is from the Sigma DP3m. Images from the D800 just don't have this "bite" straight out of camera.

Before and After: Lets see yours :)

That was shot on a tripod Ray. 1/3rd of a second at f16, at 17mm. It was a chain of bracketed exposures for an HDR, but to my surprise a single underexposed image is good enough on the D800.

The Official For God's Sake Stop Talking About Cameras And Post Photographs Instead Thread

Coming across a geisha in Kyoto is hard. They're lightning quick and tend to disappear around corners and into doorways. Came across a couple in broad daylight with a photographer taking pictures. Sneaked a shot.

Luke, I love that image. IMO it's cooked just right and has a "postcard from the past" feel to it.

Thanks Luke, this was taken at the V&A in London. Nice pics in the link as well. Here's another photographer who recreated a war torn town in Italy in miniature and took pictures as part of his healing process, after he was badly beaten up outside a bar. Riveting story. Miniature Town Brings...

    Personal Favorite Photograph for 2011

Cathartic visit to the Barcelona Pavilion designed by Mies Van der Rohe for the World Expo in 1929. After having seen innumerable pictures in history books, it was great to finally get there and shoot it for myself.
