I've done Air Zoo in Kalamazoo MI, it's an impressive collection as well, but not as many advanced aircraft and certainly no space or missiles. My son and I did this in about four hours. Lots of kids there on field trips. We skimmed a lot of the reading stuff. I still have a bunch of photos...

That one came next. I hated it when they introduced it, and I still donā€™t care for it. It made for a neat rear ramp that was built in to the airplane . Also made it easy for a well known hijacker. Iā€™m sitting in a hotel having breakfast 15 minutes away from the US Air Force Museum in Dayton...

It amazed me how quickly the technology moved from angles like the F-117 to break up radar reflections to coatings. First time I heard of a stealth ship I thought it was a joke!

That United logo brings back memories, it was the one they were using when Dad went to work for United in the late 60's. First time I flew they had the 'Red, White, and Blue' classes instead of first class and coach. A lot of people don't know the Stuka was outfitted with a siren to increase...

Yes. Same with airplanes. I can get by with a much faster shutter speed on something like a Skymaster, but an old rotary motor like a Stearman needs pretty slow.

Yeah, but with the fixed aperture not much I could do other than boost ISO. Here was the scenario: I'm getting in my truck to leave work having just put the camera bag on the floor in the backseat. I hear the helicopter, but can't see it as it's approaching from the far side of our building. I...
