I love it. My brother had a huge train collection when we were growing up. Sometimes I dream of collecting trains, but I would have nowhere to put it. It's fun to live vicariously through your pictures.

I know exactly what you mean. I've got the 21mm f3.5 and it is a tiny, gorgeous, gem. I'll have to take some pics of it soon. These are a joy to use for the size and tactile feel aren't they?

Soda Springs Geyser in Soda Springs, Idaho is not a true geyser, but a pipe drilled into a layer of aquifer that is heavily carbonated. The city capped the pipe and once an hour or so there is a timer that releases the cap and allows the built up pressure to disgorge water in the system.

Once a year at Golden Spike National Historic Park in Utah they roll out the historic engines and commemorate the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad. There are a lot of games and activities for kids and families. My family just happened to visit on that day in 2015. We had no idea...

Big Bend was great. I really want to go back some spring and stay for a few weeks. They have 65! species of cacti in Big Bend. I love the vibrant colors of cacti blossoms and would love to spend some serious time there looking for them.

Last November I drove to Big Bend National Park with my wife and kids. On the way down we stopped in Marfa at a gas station. My wife pumped while my boy and I went in to use the bathroom. It wasn't a tiny bathroom, had multiple stalls and urinals. About 80% of the floor was covered in urine...

    Woodcraft

Many years ago I was an art major. I was fortunate to have a lot of older professors who were near the end of their teaching careers and they had a lot of experience and wisdom that they shared. One of my professors told me it was important to have other hobbies besides my art as I would burn...

Tony, I only just started looking through this thread, as you can probably tell by all the likes i've given you today 😁. I am amazed that you can find time to do any photography with all this woodworking. That is a great shop you have set up and fantastic wood that you keep getting your hands on.
