I sold the BMW Z4 a month or so back, some of you may recall it, it was the yellow one I put a few pics of on here. Truth is I found it an incredibly boring car, great to drive but the only time it became even remotely entertaining was at highly illegal speeds - so I got rid. After 3 MX5s...

We have a supercar club that meets once a month for breakfast at a hotel not too far from here - Sunday was the Feb meet. The day dawned bright and sunny so I unwrapped the Zed, fired it up and headed over there to meet up with some friends from a car club I belong to. Being a nice day there...

Gave the Zedfor it's first wash 'n shine since I bought it today, it's had a few "bed baths" in the garage but - to quote Eddard Stark, winter is coming - and our UK roads are now filthy so it needed a good scrub to get all the cag out from under the wheel arches. Not helped that I keep taking...

The M42 - m4/3 adaptor landed this morning for my "new" Carl Zeiss DDR 135mm. I think it looks kinda sexy on my PL5. Not the best quality shots Im afraid, they were taken with my aging Canon A650 - which is 6 years old now. Tempus fugits don't it?

That road runs for about 180 miles from Banff to Japser in Alberta, RB and there's only one bend on it. It's such a rare thing that they actually named it, "Big Bend and Big Hill" - this is the view from the top of Big Hill

Photo of a photographer taking a photo

If he understands and cares about the difference in the effect between f2 and f16 then yes he's a photographer no matter what he uses. If he doesn't he's just someone taking a picture. The type, make or age etc of the camera makes no difference, photography is about the understanding and a...

Memories of Scotland last year, our daughter Lizzi was home for a visit from Canada so I booked us a cottage up in Braemar for a week. These were taken on a visit to the Schlumf (mostly Bugatti) Museum at Mulhouse in France a few years back. Pic quality is quite poor because we were on a motorbike tour and stuck for space, so I only had an old 3.2mp Sony P&S with me. Here's a link to the Schlumf story for those who don't know...

Serious Compacts Photograph of the Year 2013

Probably one of the only shots I took on a compact camera last year. Sat with Liz, my wife waiting for an Italian waiter to put in an appearance at a restaurant at Salo on Lake Garda, Italy, I picked up her little Panasonic P&S and snapped this. Not the best photo in the world but one of the...
