Man Flu and old passtimes revisited

There's something quite theraputic about drawing that I'd forgotten about, it does take your mind off a lot day to day troubles etc. The daft thing is I can only really draw cars / buildings or mechanical stuff, I'm not too bad at landscapes but I can't draw people or faces ... or animals etc. I...

Man Flu and old passtimes revisited

The last week or so I've had a horrible virus thing going on so I've been laid a bit low and not doing much. Boredom slowly crept up on me but to be honest I couldn't reallly be bothered with anything that required too much effort. So in desperation and having got so fed with TV and reading...

    Helloooo

Thanks folks - glad you like the new girl. She fits in the garage well too. As a plus the weather here in Lancashire has been quite nice of late so we've managed to get out for some airy top down runs. Today I picked up a mate who's just had an op on his hand so can't drive and we took off for...

    Helloooo

Hi folks, apologies for not being around here for a while - it must be a while, the forum name has changed! The last few months have been something of a mixed bag and I've just not had any time to devote to photo taking. After the summer road trips I had a couple of months of ill health which...

    Back home

After 3700 miles of touring France and a bit of Spain we landed back home in the wee small hours of yesterday morning, totally exhausted after a delay of 8 hours at the Eurotunnel. There are lots of photos of course as you'd expect after 3 weeks touring, so rather than post them individually...

    I'm off....

I'm just about to leave for 3 weeks touring France and Spain in the little MX5 (Miata for our American friends). If we get some decent wi-fi connections en route I'll post some photos up as we go. I've got the little Oly EPL-5 packed up in my battered old rucksack with the Pentax 50mm, the...

If the colour of the car determines the status of your mid life crisis, then I must still be having mine as I'm on my 3rd red car in a row, and still riding motorbikes. Which is quite good, because if it really is a mid life crisis it looks like I'm going to live to be 126 Bill, I agree with...

I closed my FB account around last November, like Sue it was beginning to annoy the hell out of me. Good call on the Yamaha, Kyle, the F800 would break your heart. Lovley bikes but flawed in so many ways - not least of all the price tag. They could have taken the Japs on at their own game had a bit more thought gone into them. I went from a Harley Dynaglide to the F800 so it felt like toy...

I married one, Bil (and if anyone tells her I said that, I may have you Killed ) Steve, funnily enough I've been thinking along the same lines as regards the Triumph. I don't do any long bike tours these days, and probably never will again. My rides are just days out now so it makes...

Nope, it's a parallel twin with belt drive, Steve. A Rotax / BMW collaboration with more emphasis on the Rotax. Oso devastation.

Dave, here in the Uk records began in 1834, anything before that gets a bit more difficult. Nice story, Luke. Alas you'd not get a TV - or anything else - in the "back seat" of a modern MX5 / Miata. That's where the hood is is now stored on the ragtop and on my version it's where the folding hard top roof goes. They're still great fun though.
