I enjoy the shooting experience on XT1 + Rokinon 12 or Minolta 55 1.7 more than any of my AF lenses, most of the time. I'm with you. A friend has the H bar, and loves it. Lots of options, but not as big, clunky, or "wacky old man" looking as Trekking bars or "far bars."

Should you instead decide to cut your current bars down, a standard pipe cutting tool that rotates around the pipe would work.

I've been on several rides with friends at the local intense trails, and on those twisty bits through the trees, they're swaying and ducking to get those massive flat bars around corners without hitting a grip on a tree. I have no such issues.

I first ran across that brand when we did a guided tour for 6 days in Eastern Oregon. I rode one of their bikes, which came with a larger version of the BarKeep. So I had my Domke in it, always accessible, and for six days I was in heaven. I got home, and missed it.

And to be more specific, I drop my Domke bag into the Axiom, with the camera bag's cover wrapped around under it, so when I open the Axiom lid, I can grab the camera.
