    Share Your Fountain Pen Fascination

I bought it from a fancy pen store in Boston, Massachusetts. We took an Amtrak trip across the country in the fall of 2019 - it was destined to be our last trip for a while when COVID hit shortly after the new year. Since then I've decided that big trips will include buying a new fountain pen...

The problem is with our expectations as computer users, John. We think things should continue in the way they are (with improvements), but operating systems are constantly reinventing themselves nowadays, and, if it's true what they would have you believe, people actually want this kind of...

Here's an older photo of my everyday carry Kaweco Sport with the EF (extra fine) nib. It's still my go-to, along with the Field Notes blank notebook beneath it... though the latter has been discontinued, and I bought up a good supply from the second hand market to make sure I don't run out...

Ohh man, that is a nice pen! I've gotten into Kaweco pens and have three of their regular Sport models: black, burnt orange (whatever it's called) and most recently dark gray. I use the orange one the most with its extra fine nib, I find it has good steady ink flow but writes a thin enough line...

I'm sorry to hear about the anxiety, Ovi. Your photo essay really works, though - I would never have thought to do something like this, but it's great and it works on multiple levels. I can see the struggle you've been going through but also the work you are doing to put your energy into...

What game are you playing or looking forward to play?

The Steam Deck is quite fantastic in many ways. It doesn't quite replace a Switch OLED, to my mind, because of the small but meaningful difference in size, and the Switch somehow handles being connected to a TV much, much better than the Deck. I also miss the native YouTube app - it's really...

What game are you playing or looking forward to play?

I have played the heck out of survival mode. Most of my playthroughs eventually end in disaster, but all told I've explored the regions many times over, with the exception of the new region added in Tales from the Far Territory.

What game are you playing or looking forward to play?

This past weekend I made the 3+ hour trek to Portland for an Axis & Allies board gaming get-together. The Global 1940 ruleset makes the game gigantic and last quite some time. My Axis teammate and I ended up surrendering on the second of two evenings, probably total play time of 8 hours.

Everything has its downfall. When I had the Switch I enjoyed YouTube while on the exercise bike. Now that I have a Steam Deck instead, I have to use a clunky workaround for adding YouTube as an app which still has the navigation of the webpage that it actually is.

What game are you playing or looking forward to play?

LOVE The Long Dark. I played a lot of survival mode early on in the pandemic and it felt oddly comforting to be alone in a fictional wilderness when turning on the news or going outside resulted in a flood of doom and gloom from every direction.

https://s.team/y23/jhbbrkw?l=english I'm not much of a Steam/PC gamer, most of my activity is on Xbox. So, this is pretty much exclusively my Steam Deck behavior. An update for anyone who cares, we've been enjoying Diablo IV couch co-op. The game looks and runs beautifully.
