    Health Matters

The family fallout cannot be dismissed. It had a devastating effect on each of my girls too. So nice that you have been able to reconnect and are able to share the old photos together. This was always a motivator for me :)

    Health Matters

The news from the Princess of Wales has been broadcast tonight. Have to say I found it extremely triggering (never understood that phrase until now). Twenty five years ago this was me. I had breast cancer and had to explain it to my children aged 7, 13 and 15. I had surgery (double...

    How's weather at your place?

Well, yesterday was ok .... In the "new" reality, the advent of the pub pen! We sat outside at a pub for the first time. Weather was kind. However I have to agree with Richard above, today is distinctly meh ..... and likely to be for the rest of the week.

We Need a Work Space Thread

I have bi-fold patio doors which let in lots of light and a view of the garden, such as it is! In the Summer it's lovely because there's a flow of people/dog coming through and thus plenty of photo opportunities! I like it because it's pretty much the hub of the house. My workspace seems to...

We Need a Work Space Thread

My "workspace". I share the dining room with the dog bed. Since we never dine in here, preferring the kitchen, we have removed the dining table. We have a plan to get a small loafing chair/sofa when the sales come so that people can sit here (and have their photos taken!). This is the best...

What books are you reading for pleasure these days?

I read mainly novels on my Kindle these days. I used to fly off to Spain for a few weeks at a time with a suitcase full of paperbacks and so the advent of the Kindle was a blessing. The only trouble is that I can never remember what I've read unless I go back to my Amazon "orders" account! I...

Oh poor little thing! Be careful of allowing him to drink too much though... I read of a dog that arrived in France and guzzled water during a play in a paddling pool which diluted his essential salts and he died :(

    My wife said.............

We don't have conversations while we're walking along, my husband walks so fast that I trail along in his wake..... when I see something to photograph..... he's usually in it at least 100 yards ahead!

    166 Views......

Hmm, yes, I've had a few "models" touting their wares on Instagram and I always block these, same for anyone who "follows" me on Flickr and treats me to a view of their particulars lol! I have a lot of blocked followers now. The Instagram Russians seem to be genuine photographers to a greater...

    166 Views......

I've noticed that one old photo of mine from 2010 has suddenly had 166 views yesterday.... does this mean that someone has posted it somewhere? It's on my flickr page. I notice that this happens from time to time and rather curious. It's not a particularly good picture either! Also, I seem...

    This makes my gut hurt

Unfortunately we have bred a generation of de sensitised people who have no qualms about using really unfathomable violence simple for kicks, if they gain something of material value as well then that's just a bonus for them.

Innocent Me: I had NO idea...

I don't post on IG very often. It seems to me that most of the likes come from people with something to sell, just another way of advertising themselves. I block quite a lot which is easy enough to do.

    Gritty Ballet Photos

I think maybe you have to appreciate the ballet in general to enjoy the pics. Most ballet photos depict the grace an beauty whereas this is the exact opposite, no frills look. I think they might have been better taken outside a studio myself but then I'm not the photographer :)
