The predicted severe weather never materialized yesterday, and the past couple of mornings have been cool and comfortable, turning into warm, sunny days. No complaints here.

I am not a fountain pen aficionado, but I do love working in wood, so I made a few using commercially available kits and various wood species. There was a fourth I made from well aged White Oak that I gave away as a gift.

    How's weather at your place?

After getting hammered by tornadoes, t-storms, and heavy rain for several days, we have had lovely Spring weather since Friday. Possible t-storms tomorrow evening, though. Bummer. One tornado in our entire state is unusual; last Tuesday three touched down in the next county just east of me...

Sunny but noticeably on the cool side the past few days. A bit of rain thrown in to keep us guessing.

    How's weather at your place?

It was very sunny and windy on this morning's bike ride. I drove to a part of our state that is 2-3 weeks behind where I live in both weather and foliage. Very beautiful, but the wind was fierce and cut through layers of clothing much of the morning.

    Riding bicycles

I'm finding my stamina still hasn't fully returned since I had COVID the first of November. I'm not an athlete, but usually 20-30 miles is no issue for me. My longest ride since I recovered has been 19 miles, and while I could have done more, I was pretty tired when I got back to my car. I've...

Yep, shorts and t-shirt for me, too. I tell people I'm not into competitive sports and I like for my clothes to fit loosely, so no lycra for me. Besides, I would look like a slightly over-stuffed sausage. :D

    Riding bicycles

Excellent thread. I enjoy bike riding, but I'm not nearly the die-hard that you seem to be. I estimated that I rode just under 2,000 miles last year, and not much over the winter - although I did do a handful of outdoor rides where the temperature ranged from 12F to 30F.

    How's weather at your place?

A strong t-storm just rolled through, with sunlight shining brightly through a heavy rain. Always weird to see that. It is now very bright outside, with water droplets hanging onto everything.

    How's weather at your place?

Yep. Gonna be in the mid-40s to start tomorrow, climbing to the upper 60s. Then by Wednesday back in the 20s at night, and daytime highs into the 50s and 60s. It makes it harder to dress for an early morning bike ride, knowing that midway through a ride I'd be removing layers and trying to stuff...

    How's weather at your place?

Sunny but very cold on this morning's ride. Temp in the low 20s F. I was dressed in thin layers and never got cold . . . except for my hands. I forgot to grab my winter gloves, and instead had my lighter driving gloves. I was constantly shaking my hands to ward off numbness and keep the blood...
