I never ever use DoF scales or range-focusing. My copy of this lens can focus way beyond infinity as well. It's not ideal for that. It's safe to say that I only use this lens for the shallow depth of field and bokeh. Which is like 95% of my photography.
Hi! At f 0.95 and close up it's not that sharp, I find the lens is way sharper when it's focused at something ~1m away. I almost always have the lens at max aperture, but will bump it to f1.1 or f1.2 if I have difficulty focusing.
I have a focusing tab set up on the lens focus barrel, so it's...
Went to a medieval combat event near Galway! I took a gamble between my O 45-150R and the sigma, I hoped ~112mm would be enough reach and I think it was!

Original (Adobe standard, no edits):
100% crop
I don't really pixel peep, but there enough contrast there (even if focus was _slightly_ missed). Just be aware of aberrations etc ..
I could not find a showcase for this one, so made one.
All at f0.95 or slightly bumped the aperture ring to f1.1 ish.
Went to my hometown for a small trip. I think the lens really fit the vibe there.
