I really feel the G9 has made this lens so much better.

I never ever use DoF scales or range-focusing. My copy of this lens can focus way beyond infinity as well. It's not ideal for that. It's safe to say that I only use this lens for the shallow depth of field and bokeh. Which is like 95% of my photography.

Hi! At f 0.95 and close up it's not that sharp, I find the lens is way sharper when it's focused at something ~1m away. I almost always have the lens at max aperture, but will bump it to f1.1 or f1.2 if I have difficulty focusing. I have a focusing tab set up on the lens focus barrel, so it's...

Went to a medieval combat event near Galway! I took a gamble between my O 45-150R and the sigma, I hoped ~112mm would be enough reach and I think it was!

WHY IS THIS LENS SO GOOD?

I am loving whatever this lens is doing. Just lovely! For my uses cases, it has replaced the 45mm f1.8 and the 75mm f1.8.

Just got this lens, didn't really get to use it much. But uhh, I present to you: Pidgeon Buttocks. Just from this bad photo, I know this is going to be a winner.

Kinda missed focus, but I do love what this lens can do. Best 56 euro I ever spent on photography.

The lens does some odd stuff once in a while: But in the overall image you don't really notice any of these.

It's fine for my taste. Just make sure you get the focus right as the depth of field can get quite shallow. Original (Adobe standard, no edits): 100% crop I don't really pixel peep, but there enough contrast there (even if focus was _slightly_ missed). Just be aware of aberrations etc ..

I could not find a showcase for this one, so made one. All at f0.95 or slightly bumped the aperture ring to f1.1 ish. Went to my hometown for a small trip. I think the lens really fit the vibe there.
