I has a sad. Better check my fridge & eBay to see what the going rate is.
Agfa Vista Film is Dead: Report
I had no idea it was actually manufactured by Fujifilm. Which explains a lot; they seem intent on running down their film portfolio.
eBay seems to have blocks going relatively cheap from...
Just got my first roll back from the lab. Wow for a 60 year old camera this produces some excellent results. Lomography 100 film.

Even though I don't shoot movie film, I still find it fascinating to see what goes on in that world.
For the film "Call me by my name", they used one Kodak film stock & one lens for the entire shoot.
Interesting that they went with a 35mm focal length for the lens & also amazing to hear that...
I'm currently trying to decide between keeping my Nikon or Pentax manual focus 35mm film set-up. On Pentax I have an ME Super and an MX, both chrome. On Nikon I have an FA and an FM, both black. Both systems with a balanced, but short (i.e., would like to purchase a couple more lenses...

I'm new to the F100 as I'm just getting back into film after long time. My F100 has been displaying a flashing err message after I take a shot. The pictures seem to be turning out OK but who knows if they would be much better with no error message. It's not clear what if anything is not...
I went out this morning with the Minolta loaded with HP5 and my OM2n loaded with AGFA 200 Vista, set up on one of my favorite sites but it was so foggy I could not see 50 ft. I had decided to last it out till the fog lifted. I was using a 50 1.8 and 1.7 so I had light, just could not see across...
I have spent today scanning linear raw files using the above and I have to say I am very pleased with how much detail is scanned. Using Colorperfect to give the right film type colours seems to be working well. Here is a neg and then a positive with Colorperfect's portra 160 profile, straight...

I am scanning my film that I got back from the lab this week, and for the life of me I can't remember which camera I used for one roll of film! I guess I should be paying more attention LOL. It's a bit annoying as I really like some of the images :(.

Just got finished with a roll of HP5 in it so got it a new strap, and lens hood ( going to lose the double strap rings ) . Mid way through the roll the Orange filter came in. I love shooting with this camera, it's my favorite. Even with my eyes it's easy to focus. I don't really like the Power...

Here is one of first images from this camera, I used the wide colour pack as I wanted to finish it off, I am not a fan of the colour film as much as I am of the monochrome. No flash, the chapel was not well lit, the light was coming from a stain glass window above.
Recently, while surfing Youtube, I came across Street Photographer John Free. I love his work and his approach to shooting street. Anyone else here follow John and his work?
Looking into filters (red, yellow, orange) for B&W shooting. Does anyone have experience with these. I've never used any, but then again I have never shot landscapes in B&W. I have the OM2n loaded with HP5 and a 24 2.8 on the way. Thanks for any input on this as all I know is what I've read.
Ok, on the bottom end of the focal range I have a mixed up set of lens. I want to consolidate this into 1 zoom and 1 prime to cover that area. I'm on somewhat of a budget as this is a hobby so I'm thinking either the 24-85 3.5-4.5 G VR and I'm done, or the 35-70 2.8 and my 24 2.8 Ais. I think...

Here is the first shot, no edits made. I did use one of the flashes from the ancient flash bars that came with the camera, there is a lamp above this machine, so maybe I didn't need the flash. First shot from a new to me camera and first box of the new film. I'm impressed!
Just to let you know: I'll shoot another "one film frame a day" photo challenge throughout January '18, alongside the SiJ ("Single in January") challenge on SeriousCompacts.
I'll use the Lomo LC-A 120 with expired (but well kept) Fujifilm Acros 100. You'll get daily documentary shots from the...
This is a my first decent shot with this film and spectra camera combo. The camera I bought off Ebay has some issues with it, the rollers jammed which meant I had to open the film door, and I think this ended up flashing the rest of the exposures, the first three shots were completely ruined...
I was wondering if there are any users here who still use the above bodies and the 16, 21, 28, 35, 45 and 90mm lenses?
Would like to know what are your opinions on the cameras. I just got my hands on the G1, 45, 90mm and the TLA140 flash. Not so cheap here in Singapore though as the...
I am going to move on from serious film photography. I will keep my F100 but the F1, T90, and Oly OM2n will go along with the lens. My eyes have frustrated me to where photography became a burden and not a pleasure. I have always been a Nikon shooter so between that and my Fuji system with...
I've been shooting a lot of HP5+ lately in both 35mm and 120 format. While Ilford rates this film at ISO 400, I seem to have a little better results when using it at 200. Recently, I tried a roll at 800 and got good results. I realize HP5+ has a great deal of exposure latitude & this got me to...
I have been using film cameras for some time but never ever completed a whole roll yet. Currently, I have a Chinon CP-7m and a Pentax Z1P. Soon the Contax G1 with the 45mm and 90mm will be added to my film camera family.
Time for a new thread.
I have only tried this film once, although I have a few rolls. I was advised to expose at 250 ISO rather than the box speed as it is supposed to over expose at 320 ISO. I'll have to give it a go at box though, just to see how it turns out. Grainy and soft and the first...
Anyone have strong opinions on the quality of old pancake designs ?

I spotted news of this new, very interesting camera a short while ago. I figured if there was any place to share it, it would be there. Enjoy...
I haven't done a lot of film work this year, but I have been carrying my Rollei 35 with me on my various hikes and bike rides as I journey about the countryside. I finally finished the roll of Ektar 100 this week.
I have come to realize that Canon's are pains in the ass. My Nikon body's never hiccup, but I have sent back 4 Canon bodies in a month. Just having bad luck. Hope my Pentax stuff don't fail, I really love that stuff.

A view of outside the city from atop the old city wall. Taken in 1975 with a Polaroid camera on their B&W film. City is Dubrovnik, in what is now Croatia. Friends who have visited since I did tell me this area is pretty built up now.
I was invited to an amateur photo shoot on the weekend . Obviously there was the usual high end DSLR's. I turned up with my old Canon Sure Shot Owl loaded with HP5. I developed and showed a few pics to the group. They where amazed how well the little Canon performed .Here's a couple of pics .
